Anyone know if Singleton is suspended today  ?    Or if umpire crew chief/NCAA can waive the rule ?   Not sure,  what I found is below.   Big loss if he is suspended,  always provides in game consult with the hitters.

Penalties for Coach Ejection

The ejected coach must leave the playing field and dugout area immediately and is not allowed to communicate with the team or umpires.

The ejected coach is suspended for the next regularly scheduled contest (one game).

The suspended coach is not allowed to participate in any manner during the suspension.

Additional Notes

A coach who is ejected from a game can appeal the decision to the NCAA.

The NCAA Softball Rules Committee has the authority to eject a coach from a game for unsportsmanlike conduct or misconduct.

Coaches are expected to maintain a professional demeanor and not engage in behavior that is deemed unsportsmanlike.

That aggy coach was the same one ejected in Florida and was caught cursing fans as he walked off, right?

Texas has been doing that/similar season for the weather in the box score. It’s quite funny to read them

If Kennedy goes again, I would pull one of Maloney, Dayton, or Henry and put in a righty that can play corner OF or 3rd.
Also, Washington is a far superior hitter to Goode.  It's not close.

Yeah Goode is horrible. Surprised White even has a position on the team for her with her numbers from last year. .

D1Softball Freshman All-American ..... in 61 games , 203 official at bats, finished her first collegiate softball season with a .325/.392/.552 slash line ... was second on the team in hits (66), runs scored (52), home runs (8) and stolen bases (10) ... finished with a .986 fielding percentage while seeing time at six different positions:

No kids here. Just a fan of her play last year as a freshman. Was surprised coming off the injury she didn’t get more playing time. I guess being so young, Mike knows he’ll have her longer than ViVi or Washington and can let her heal properly.

I’m no pro like some of yall on here but have been shocked at the dogging of her play by some here after such a good season for us last year.

“Far superior”…. Crawfish all you want.

I used last years because she was great last year so she has it in her. It’s not rocket science. Assuming coming off the injury and not getting in a groove either with a lot of playing time will have the timing and offense suffering. I guess we’ll see next season after ViVi graduates.
She’s the same class as vivi.

I was thinking ViVi was one class older

Iirc her conference numbers are much worse than her noncon numbers.  She needs to take another step, which I expect her to do next season.

To me, the question isn't did Goode fall off the statistical cliff, but rather, why? Usually injuries are at the root of such a decline.

She hurt her wrist and had surgery in the offseason - that is likely part of it.  She also hit really well to start off last year, but that was in non-conference against bad pitching, and before teams had tape on her to scout. She cooled off once conference play rolled around. This year, she has struggled, particularly if you look at conference games or teams with good/decent pitching.

We need her to step up next year though.  She's a great fielder.  MW won't tolerate batting .240 though.

Even though a dustup between Texas assistant Steve Singleton and Texas A&M assistant Russ Heffley led to ejections for both coaches in Friday's super regional series opener, both will be available to coach in the second game on Saturday, Texas officials confirmed.

The verbal confrontation between Singleton and Heffley occurred in the top of the sixth inning after Texas A&M's Kennedy Powell seemed to trip over the shin of Texas first baseman Katie Stewart, who had her foot on the bag. According to UT officials, the Longhorns staff inquired about the contact that was ruled incidental at first base following the final out of the frame.

Singleton and Heffley met the umpires at home plate, and at the conclusion of the discussion as the umpires were trying to escort the coaches back to their respective dugouts, "inappropriate comments were exchanged and both coaches were given a behavioral ejection," according to a statement from Texas.
