Feel free to add in Collin County if your nukes are tactical/smart enough to leave Dallas proper in good working order.

Please leave Collin. We are organizing an underground resistance group. You will need someone to sneak Dallas compatriots through enemy territory.

HEB, don’t allow this shit

https://www.kxan.com/news/texas-politics/take-our-border-back-convoy-heading-through-central-texas-to-eagle-pass/

Quote

The trip is part of a nationwide call to action bringing people to various hotspots along the border including Eagle Pass, Yuma, Arizona, and San Ysidro, California. The group invites “active and retired law enforcement and military, veterans, Mama Bears, elected officials, business owners, ranchers, truckers, bikers, media, and law-abiding, freedom-loving Americans.”

Quote

The Texas stint will include a “pep rally” at the Dripping Springs H-E-B on Thursday, Feb. 1. The group will then leave from Dripping Springs on Feb. 2 and travel to the Cornerstone Children’s Ranch in Quemado.

A spokesperson for H-E-B reached out to KXAN to let us know company policy prohibits rallies or protests on company property regardless of the reason for the event. They have attempted to let organizers of the event know they will need to gather somewhere else.

Quote

Organizers stress the convoy and demonstrations will be peaceful and not pose a threat to the public or law enforcement operations.

If that HEB is like mine, not only will they allow it, they will advertise and promote it. Despite everyone’s cult like devotion to HEB, they act very aggy.

This feels like a euphemism for “fat people.”

Or people without gainful employment.

Notice they don't mention construction company owners, farmers with crops to pick or other food producers, roofers, landscapers, service industry owners etc...

HEB is thinking, how do you think all that produce, meat and eggs end up in our store?

No wonder it is taking them 5 days. Going down 71 to get to the border from Florida? Fuckers could not see that I10 is a straight shot? Guess their recon teams like like their mission and message.

Take a page out of the anti-abortion playbook and get some cities to pass one of those you can’t use our roads for this laws and just arrest them when they come through

The ‘Take Our Border Back’ Convoy Is Already a Complete Mess

https://www.wired.com/story/day-one-take-our-border-back-convoy-texas/

Quote

On Monday morning, the organizers of the Take Our Border Back convoy kicked off their road trip to the Texas–Mexico border in Virginia Beach. Though they claimed that up to 40,000 trucks would be joining, only 20 vehicles made up the convoy as it rolled into Jacksonville, Florida, 14 hours later. The promised support had not materialized—not a single truck showed up, tires were reportedly slashed, participants got lost, and paranoia struck the group. In short, the convoy was a complete mess.

WTF is up with these "white" nationalists with Spanish names?

Quote

A known white nationalist who was kicked out of the People’s Convoy in 2022, Ryan Sanchez, is among those most active in the group. Sanchez was previously a Marine Corp reservist who says he was kicked out after he was reported to have been demonstrating alongside the Rise Above Movement, an alt-right street-fighting group that took part in the neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017, which led to the death of one counterprotester.

I didn't say he defied an order, I said he stated an intention to defy the court and it's orders. If you want to play cutesy miss-the-forest-for-the-trees, you could say that abbott has complied with the letter. But certainly not the spirit of the order or to the relief sought by the plaintiff in the matter.

Ok, then.

I just see this idea that placing more wire or removing it violates the Supreme Court order and it doesn't.  There's no mandatory or prohibitory order in place.

It's kind of annoying.

Of course GQP pols arguing to defy a non-existent order about it is par for the course, which is why I try to keep the arguments and discussion fact-based.

I once was going to climb Guadalupe Peak but we dropped acid as soon as we got up and ended up driving into El Paso for a surreal breakfast at L&J. That's like 105 miles.  Somebody read about Concordia Cemetery and we were all freaked the fuck out by the time we got there.

L&J rocks.  Not a bad call at all.

In a world that has Trump posting / owning a social media company called ‘Truth Social’ that has almost no people on it and spews lies, the religious right supporting a divorcee who has a thing for his daughter and cheats on his wives with pornstars, Trump saying he’s a billionaire but solicits donations from poor people, and poors thinking that Trump  represents the little guy…. Having a non-white, white supremacist is about par for the course IMO.

Really good reasoned analysis of the Abbott constitutional position by none other than Steve Vladeck.

https://www.lawfaremedia.org/article/governor-abbott-s-perilous-effort-at-constitutional-realignment

I think he's just really damn good.  Clear, reasonably easy to understand, and, although I think he has a "bias," he keeps it out of his writing.

Countering misinformatio

TX: “The gates in the wall are open!!!”n

Let me explain… There are layers of fencing and wire before they even get to the wall…

@GovAbbott does have Eagle Pass pretty well fortified—The outskirts, not so much—Gates in the fencing in Quemado are wide open (we have been reporting) This is different.

Hope this info helps and counters some of the “fake news” circulating right now.

Find good sources for border coverage my friends—Things are getting interesting down here.

Let me add this as well from a source who worked for US Army Corps of Engineers— “Wall barriers are used to prevent illegals and criminals from entering the interior of the US or Texas as one sees fit. Walls prevent got-a-ways. If groups, whether large or small, are blocked and trapped south of the wall, then traditionally USCBP would apprehend all the illegals. They would then process, document and then deport said individuals with rare cases of asylum. It’s really that simple. Got-a-ways and unknowns can be completely stopped with a contiguous wall and proper policy enforcement.“
