Right now we need a program built. This is 3rd tier bullshit barely making then losing the 68 team play in round. Pitino builds programs, and although he wouldn't be here long, if he took the job he would know he'd be here long enough to build a contender.

He's the best college coach out there. The dude took Providence college to the final 4 almost 40 years ago and now is winning at St Johns of all places.

Now, if he says no or if they just really want to roll the dice with a young coach then try to go after Royal Ivy. I just think Pitino would be an easier get than Ivy at this point. Ivy is making a big name for himself in NBA circles and is probably a year or two away from having an NBA head coaching job. He might not want to deal with college bullshit.

You need to shut the fuck up. About anything that ever pops into your pea brain. You’re what AI would generate as a poster if the only inputs were “bad UT sports takes” and “douche”.

Lloyd would be a big time hire. Anyone thinking it's Oats, Billy Donovan or bust is going to be disappointed.

I mean Bama is playing in Cleveland, just a stones throw from where CDC is right now.  just hop over and get Oats to "sign on the line that is dotted".

we will also need to know what the drapes in CDC's hotel room in Cleveland look like

I’ve repeatedly told people to put him on ignore.  Nobody fucking listens.

Texas doesn't make DEI hires at the head coaching position but we are open to making DUI hires. The last one worked out quite well.

RT should have watched a few YouTube videos about coaching offense prior to this game.

You would think being an assistant for 20 + years you would pick up some coaching tips. I guess some people never learn anything……bizarre.

When I heard him talk about our "star power" while lobbying for why we should be in the dance, I knew this guy doesn't know how to coach offense and that he will only rely on star power to bail him out. I want a coach who preaches team over star power.

Drunken thoughts here. Self will be the coach at the university of Texas next season.

better chance of you yourself being the next coach

Self, like a lot of coaches in the SEC football world, can't or won't be able to hack it when you're on equal footing with the rest of the country.

Now suddenly, recruits can go elsewhere to get that bag that isn't just a sack of full of money from Adidas or whoever, and they don't have to live in Lawrence, Kansas.

He's 62, he seems to be losing his passion, had a health scare...

And he really fucked up recruiting Hunter Dickinson, who seems to care more about podcasting than hooping

Self’s comment last night about picking players from the portal…
