This is so infuriating, because it's not like Terry was some relatively unknown, up and coming 30 year-old we took a wild chance with. We knew exactly who Rodney Terry was. A very mediocre head coach at schools that Texas wouldn't hire from anyway. In his mid-50s. This is always what was going to happen.

I’ve had this exact argument with multiple friends who seem blindsided at this disaster. Smh.

Instead of the begging or guessing  the date, can you guys pivot to who you believe is gettable for us as replacement, and who we should hope for?

Let’s look at top 10 teams…we could go after the Tennessee guy or the Marquette guy.

The fun thing is, based on CDC's m.o., nobody will have a clue who he's targeting until it's announced.

We will have to wait the entire month of March in silence as the guy takes his team to the championship game before leaving the next day

The guy at Arkansas looks ready for a change of scenery.

I can’t believe that Arkansas AD still has a job after some of the moves he’s made over the years.

They completely bailed out Kentucky with the Calipari move.

He was an easy hire….he will be gone when the season is over. Archive this.

Texas isn’t firing mid season unless RT beats his girlfriend tomorrow

I still contend the AD did the wrong thing firing him. That was a situation that called for a suspension for the season, and rehabilitation with anger management training during suspension.

Dude has Ole Miss at 15-3 losing to a top 15 team in OT by 3 already. RT can't stay within 20 of Florida.

2 years later I'm saying the same things I said then. Terrible decision. The program is in shambles and it's their own fault.

Sure if Beard had apologized and not sent that fuck you letter to CDC

Quit blaming CDC for the situation Beard put him in

All I know is, we need to go over CDC's decision to fire Beard and Beard's actions that got him there at LEAST once every page.

And it needs to be pointed out every damn page until the people who made that decision fix the fuck up

Gerry said virtually every SEC conference win so far has the winning team scoring 75+

These offenses are too good, no one is keeping them low enough to win scoring in the 60s.

CDC the RT experiment is over, it didn’t work. Please move on. Fix this before it costs us 10 years of pain and suffering. The one I really  feel bad for is Tre. I get he is going to be extraordinary at the next level, but he could have had a legacy at Texas. This team is not going to make noise, no one fears playing Texas.

When your backup 5 is your leading assist guy in a game and no one else has more than 1 then it just might be coaching.

When UConn played here and dicked around with us for 40 minutes, it looked like they were playing a different sport on offense.

I went to check the box score to look at the assists thing. Holy shit. Pope and Larry combined for two assists in 50 minutes. And eight turnovers.

It's a team full of me-first players, a stark contrast to the culture Sark has developed in the football program.

Was on his side getting the extension but the NIL and talent acquisition followed by this years performance have been more than enough.

He's clearly in over his head.

We will always have that awesome B12 tourney trophy and the elite 8.

Said this earlier in the day but cursory watch of any ranked sec teams makes it so clear we have no real PG.  Those guys are under sized shooting guards.

I don't really follow basketball until after football season, so assuming it's a forgone conclusion that RT is gone, who are some of the realistic options Surly would want us to go after?

How big a splash (i.e., financial commitment for salaries) are we willing to make for the next hire?

All of it.  I seriously doubt CDC is going to be willing to let that beautiful new arena languish.
