Surreal = POTUS speaking at a Holocaust event?

No.  A former POTUS being in court is surreal.  What Biden was doing what 100% normal and what POTUS has done since WW2.

TLDW:

  • Good news: Polling indicates that Gaza isn't going to be a big issue for young voters. They're more concerned with bread-and-butter issues: healthcare, the economy, student debt, etc.
  • Bad news: RFK Jr. has swallowed up just about the entire delta of support Biden had over Trump in 2020 and is polling at 29% of all youth. In-fucking-sane.

It's very early and he may not even be on the ballot in most states.  And he has fucking brain worms.

I know it’s early, and I’m sure people smarter than me have already planned it. But Biden needs to present real healthcare reform to the country building upon Obamacare. Obviously that’s a winning issue for everyone. Fucking Brainworm RFK.

29%?  Seriously?  He doesn''t even really even a marked position on Gaza and most of that generation doesn't even know the Kennedy "brand."  What fucking year is this?  /RIProbin

That's actually bad news, bullshit aside.  Because people who claim to support a 3rd party/independent candidate actually do get off their ass, unlike most U30 voters who claim to be a liberal or conservative, actually pull a ballot lever.  Been that way for the last 30 years across two generations of young voters.  This ain't good news.

Shit, sad to say I didn’t realize that was the case. Thought that was kind of the lynchpin, something like the last X POTUS winners took Ohio. I’ll see myself out.

iirc no republican has ever won the white house without ohio.  and most democrats haven't either, since reconstruction.  it's historically been a lot of electoral votes and a middle of the road state.  but it's been bleeding electoral votes while trending red over the last couple of decades.

100% fake. Young voters don't even participate in meaningful numbers in this country and even if they did there's no way RFK Jr has 29% of their vote.

He won’t ask her to be on the ticket, so she doesn’t lose a lot being the alternative to Trump.  She’s getting a head start on 2028, when a lot of Republicans are going to be trying to forget Trump and his sycophants.

These are the only remaining people who will vote for Trump:

1. Racists

2. Sexists

3. Single issue voters who think they’ll pay less taxes under Trump (most of them are wrong, because they are not as rich as they think they are)

4. Single issue pro-life voters

5. conspiracy theorists

6. people who suck brain poison out of the boob tube (Fox News viewers)

There are ZERO rational-thinking, analytical-minded voters who look at truly meaningful things like foreign policy, economic policy, social policy, or character who will pull the lever for Trump.  And it still might be enough for that piece of shit to get to 270.

You forgot gun nuts

I can’t even read that.  Too infuriating.  The people they polled think Biden is to blame for Roe getting overturned.  They think Trump will tear down the system with positive results.  We’re fucked.  Even if Biden somehow pulls it out, we’re fucked.

Black, Hispanic and young voters have flipped to Dotard? I’m skeptical.

The first, I guess. The latter 2, that wouldn't shock me at all especially with young male voters. We've probably gotten to the point where some just would rather burn it all down because what we have right now isn't working for them. Of course, it will be a case of "be careful what you wish for" and "I don't realize he was going to do this (even though he told you he was exactly going to do that)". The biggest problem Biden has right now besides an economy that's not reflecting its improvement to average consumers is the horrible messaging his people and Democrats in general are putting out. But if people are so ill-informed that they think Biden caused Roe to be overturned so I guess I'll vote for the guy whose appointed justices actually voted for to overturn it then you're not getting through to people like that regardless of what you do.

This.  Sorry, I don't believe it.  Polling is broken.

And a massive "fuck the NYT" because we know they aren't doing anything related to Biden impartially.  They've admitted as much.

The lack of critical analysis is really what is killing me.  These polling results would indicate the greatest demographic shift in our lifetime and there is absolutely no attempt to reconcile this.  Just "welp, looks like ol' Joe is in trouble!"

If the polling industry didn't exist, the common refrain would be a Biden blowout.  Every real indicator is pointing that way... the polling is the ONLY thing giving Trump a chance.  It's all just so weird.

It's almost like its on purpose bullshit from people with less than honest motives.

The whole polling system is fucked but the bigger problem is now the media will parrot this and talk on both right and left wing media outlets about how Biden is in trouble and Trump is about to get 300+ electoral votes.  This could lead to people not voting or changing their votes so they can vote for the "winning team".  Also, if those numbers are correct then it just shows how incredibly ignorant and dumb the US population is.  I mean everyone pretty much knows they are, but it really shows people have lost the ability for critical thinking.  If you watched Trump for 4 years and think, "yeah, this is the guy that can fix things" you should lose your right to vote.

So are the people asking for the president, or federal gvt, to set prices of goods and services?

The President should make my life better and if my life sucks its the President's fault not mine or my poor decisions that have led to my life sucking.  I know many on here hate Bill Maher but the end of his show last Friday night was quite good I thought.  He hammered the media for how they skew things, but he also basically said everybody should basically look in the mirror and ask if their life is that bad.  The media tells us the world is falling apart and our lives are terrible because of it but if we really asked ourselves (even everyone on this forum), how is your life in general then most of us would probably say it's pretty good.  All those Trumpers that Fox News is telling them to be afraid of immigrants sneaking in our country and raping and murdering everyone are most likely living in nice homes, with good jobs, friends and family around them and in states where this issue doesn't really affect them.  Most people on both sides that are successful were successful under Trump, Biden, Obama before that and so on.  Those that are struggling now were probably struggling under Trump also. The President doesn't affect your life the way people want to believe.

For some reason I still remember watching an interview before the 2016 election, with a couple in I think Wisconsin. They had a huge house and a bunch of nice cars in the driveway, and were planning on voting for Dotard, because of how terrible their lives supposedly were. Nothing they could articulate though. "Yeah, you know how things are now... with all the, you know, bad things happening. It's just everywhere, you know? So we're voting for Trump."

People vote for Trump because they're afraid Biden and "the liberal/woke mob/Antifa/BLM" are going to come take what's theirs. People also vote for Trump because they got theirs and they don't care if you get yours.
