I'm seeing "where's Joe" is trending on the right.  Saying the signature on his announcement was forged and wanting "proof of life".

Such a strange bunch of humanoids.

That was what the guy on CNN said immediately.  "Did anyone actually see him sign this statement??"

Texas is flipable - based on numbers. Democrats need a 10 - 15% better turn out and republican numbers stay the same and it’s POSSIBLE. I don’t think it’s likely, but maybe we can at least get rid of Cruz.

Just saw Tim Burchett interviewed on CNN. He's a special kind of shithead. Called Kamala a DEI hire.

Isn't CNN's slide into Wannabe Fox News just the best for our country? I'm sure whoever had him on just sat there silently and let him spew his bullshit.

That's fucking disgusting. I'm not surprised, but it's disgusting in a breathtaking way. My wife and I suffered a loss after waiting years to try and it was devastating, and almost broke our will to continue the process. I can't possibly describe my rage if someone went digging around my wife's medical history to find out why we didn't have children. Goddammit, these people are vile.

There is no evidence cited of any pregnancies, regardless.  It's pure conjecture and then horrific blame game shit.

Yeah, I'm seeing "proof of life" stuff too. Maybe we should ask them if they want Kamala as POTUS today or they want us to just wait until Jan 20.

When she picks a white man as her VP, is that also a DEI hire?

As far as the young voters, they are energized on X and TikTok, what can be done to actually get them to vote?  Do they need help getting registered?  What organizations specifically geared to getting youth to vote exist and are prominent?

The GOP needs to run a Roy Moore creeper clown to turn a red state blue, if only for a brief blessed time.

TFG has amplified Moore's tendencies by an order of magnitude, plus actual crimes, but is hard-baked past outrage with the Maga. Half of them won't stay home instead of vote for him like they did with Moore. Maybe a small percent will.

Cruz is toadlike, cowardly, and evil, but teen human women hold no allure for him. So no weakness there.

Unfortunately, Texas seems to be topping up with transplant Maga, thanks to U-Haul.

I hope I am wrong.

Bryon Donalds was on Bill Maher last Friday. Said that when he walked around the RNC, fellow republicans see him as just another republican and not a black republican.

No Byron. They only see you as a DEI hire to hide the exclusivity. They will be nice to you. Just don’t try and date their daughter or sister.

As I said after the debate, Biden is the father of two drug addicts who abandoned his young sons after their mother was killed so Joe could play Senator in Washington. His favorite son died. His surviving son turned the dead son’s widow into a crack addict. Joe’s wife plays doctor teacher. This is not a functional family capable of sitting down and saying, “Dad/Dear, retire.”

Texas ain't flipping. Even if the votes somehow got there, the State leadership will find a way to steal it for R.

this is the excuse the dysfunctional and disorganized Texas Democratic Party uses to not make the enormous investment it would take the flip the state. They'd rather sit back and whine about how unfair it is.

That's why they're trying to make it so that the winner is declared by the number of counties won, not votes cast.

Winner of Harris County? You get one vote. Winner of Loving County? You get one vote.

That's the way Georgia did it from 1917 to 1962.

hmm.

i don't think Texas would be flippable with peak Beto running for Senate and Kamala at the head of the ticket.  but it sure as hell isn't flipping with Mr. Boring, i.e. Colin Allred.  maybe now Allred gets off his ass and does some campaigning. maybe he knew this was coming and was waiting to lay down the gauntlet against Cruz, but i'm not holding my breath.

Donald Trump is the son of a New York tycoon, who married an immigrant.  His experience is entitlement and wealth, but not really the rural, working class experience, particularly that in southern swing states like Georgia and North Carolina.

His dad was a klansman, though, so he’s got that going for him.

Man, a lot of the people that we work with/around on a daily basis are still full-throated Trumpaloos. It's hard to understand tbh. Like I said to you on this board a long time ago, he's not even good for the energy industry and he's terrible for the country. Fucking tax cuts I guess?

I can work around higher taxes with a Dem. Can’t work around what he does to our industry and the general buffoon he is. I don’t understand how he’s captivated folks in our industry. These are smart industrious people more interested in social conservatism than pragmatism. I’m telling you, I’ve been labeled liberal by my family and you know me - I’m anything but.

Are there respectable Republicans? The party functions similarly to the way we've criticized police departments.

There are bad apples (evidently even more than we think) doing terrible things. There are enablers who align with them and support them through inaction. So it is with GOPs who contribute to that party and vote for the current GOP/anti-republic party. Is that respectable? I'm having trouble seeing how.

I've recently reconciled with my sister after a long silence. It was a relief and a joy. At our last meeting with some of her family, she makes it clear that she is pro-Trump. I feel something like a soldier of the French Resistance who has learned his sister is helping the Nazis. This is very troubling to me. I'm still roiling with thoughts about it.

The GOP is about racism, enslaving women to their ability to have children, and imposing a religion that they've misnamed Christianity on the country. They want to ignore the global climate crisis and squeeze every last dime they can out of what may destroy us. The rich will be at fantastic estates in the mountains. The regular fools who voted them into power will blame the Socialist Dems. Idiot World.

I can't have anything to do with such wickedness. I've only used that word to describe Nixon (we'd be so much better off with him instead of Trump) and, for the last several years, all the malignancy of what has become the right.

Your party may perish. You may not have the choice to vote for actual conservative values. You haven't had that choice for a few decades anyway. Make sure you're not just pulling for the jersey. I can't imagine why a person worthy of any respect would continue to do so. I suppose being a fool would mitigate guilt and invite less scorn but still no respect.

Yeah there are respectable ones. I do think most pull for the jersey and those like @The Royal We and I will do so mostly quietly for tax and social reasons. I won’t but in Texas I don’t matter. I’d love to see some anti-GOP turnout because of this jackass, but here, I doubt it. It’s unbelievable to me this guy has 45% of the electorate voting for him.

I don’t know if the party will perish. I don’t really care if it does if it stays the way it is.

Black women are mobilized. A lot of you won’t see it because the mobilization will be stealthy. And if you’re worried about Black men, I’ll just say this—if theres one thing a Black man won’t do it’s defy the word of his Black mama. They’ll get on board if mana says so.

90% of black men will vote blue because we understand voting for Trump is tantamount to chickens voting for Colonel Sanders. It’s just not prudent.
