My 89 year old dad said something to me on the phone just now that I think would be a great Kamala campaign slogan" "We men have had the Presidency 46 times in a row. Maybe it's time we give the broads a chance."

"Give the broads a chance!"   My T-shirt slogan:  Harris 2024.  Give the Broads a Chance!

Hard pass on anything that implies that it's their turn or "giving" them their chance.

I finally looked up those crosstabs and all of the age demographic results were backwards. It has Harris beating Trump in the 60+ group.

They are NOT going to like that at Hoffpauir’s.

It's funny, this weekend one of the guys from the crew was like "We really just need a mom. We've done enough of the creepy uncle thing."

except that's it's not. history (hopefully) will tell, but I'm leaning toward this was all calculated more than Biden just deciding to cave to pressure

Whatever they have to say to justify a vote for Kamala is okay with me.

Harris 58-33 with 18-29 in that poll.  BUT MUH QUINNIPIAC HAD TRUMP UP 19 WITH THEM

In complete fairness, the Quinnipiac poll's crosstab was of 18-34 year-olds.  So the math works since 30-34 year-olds are going for Trump by a margin of about 125-(-25).

Yes, it takes time for things to filter.  For a lot of people, they're really seeing KH for the first time in 4 years.  She has a good 3 weeks to re-introduce herself to voters.

Time to get her some sit downs with CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC.

But fun for Trump - the news killed his convention bump and his shitty convention basically blunted his assassination attempt bump.  Dems will have a Harris bump, VP bump and convention bump over the next month leading right into when people start paying attention most, post-Labor Day

And don't forget the Olympics, my brother.

What--the Olympics are apolitical?  Bullshit.  Not in a country in which one of the candidates is actively cheering against our women's teams.  Not in a country in which the challenger wants you to think America isn't currently great and shit is in crisis.

I don't want to be a dick, and certainly don't want to put the cart before the horse, BUT.... do those of you who spent weeks saying "Biden gives us the best chance to win" now realize how ridiculous that was?

Perhaps you missed the memo, my dude--we're not going back!

Also, my wife just sent me this message:

"Two fucking white asshole males with small dick energy?  Ticket to where?  I'll answer that for $1000 Alex -- 'to fucking Hell.'"

So, by my expert polling, 100% of Mrs. Briskets are fired the fuck up.

When your dad drove into the drugstore again and you're about to have "the talk" about taking his keys away.

I want everyone to enjoy the summertime sugar high, put some face paint on and point at the zoo animals in the Republican side and laugh.

But pretending this thread was nothing more than a shitshow of grievances for 3 weeks, with no consensus on POTUS stepping down early or riding out the term, no agreement on a candidate, and no idea how to settle on a new candidate at the convention, the poster is definitely putting the cart before the horse. Love the fundraising numbers though and seeing a reinvigorated core constituency that never left in black women.

I don't think I'd ever heard of Andy Ogles until just now. When I read about pieces of shit like this, I always feel compelled to see what they look like so I googled the guy. Guess what? He looks like an asshole straight out of central casting.

He's really just another generic GQP asshole who cries quietly to himself as he guiltily jerks off to gay porn in the dark, too scared and self-loathing to ever be himself in public, so he takes out his pain on everyone else.

Add him to the pile.

Oh, and nobody with that putting stroke should even be able to claim being a decent golfer. Let alone claiming club tournament championships.

How does a person get away with having his entire life conform to his lies about himself?

The thing that got me the most is after all the rounds he's played on that course and he doesn't have every break on every green memorized yet?  I mean half those putts broke left when he was playing a left-to-right break or vice versa.  Back when I was a kid and played our local goat ranch course two or three times every day in the summer; my friends and I knew at least which direction every putt was going to break.  The magnitude or speed may be off a little but still...

I would love to think this is true, but the only reason I don’t is that it would be impossible for anyone else but Biden and Harris to be in on this.  Foggy bottom has too many leaks.

but if Joe  was having fake fights with Pelosi and Schumer, while Kamala was floating/testing her support during that time to end opposition- that would be awesome

I really think he was putting it off as long as possible to get private conversation about Harris' candidacy, polling and focus group reactions to make sure him stepping down and endorsing her was the best way to go

I can also see intentionally delaying until after the Republican convention.  The Republicans spent all that prime time attacking Biden, and he's not the candidate.  But I very much doubt this was the plan going into the primaries. Way too much disfunction.

Oh no, I think it’s been “in the works” since after the debate and the polling started to tank. But he had to make sure he had a clear successor and the data backed up That she was viable

Quote

Sailer’s main offense in the eyes of the Left clerisy is the same one that I committed 30 years ago in The Bell Curve(1994) and more recently in Facing Reality (2021): we have both written about the statistical relationships between race and I.Q., and between race and crime. We both remain unrepentant. These are realities that need head-on analysis if they are to be dealt with sensibly. The mean difference in black and white I.Q. carries with it many important implications for education and the labor market. Crime rates among blacks are multiples of the white rate. Latinos also have significantly lower mean I.Q. and higher crime rates than whites. These are not racist slanders. They are statements of exhaustively documented fact. Talking about them, however, has gotten Sailer labeled as an out-and-out racist—not only by the Left (see the Southern Poverty Law Center website) but by some neoconservatives.

Seriously?  That's where they're going?  It's pathetic enough to go after someone's laugh, but THAT laugh?  It's just...a laugh.  It sounds utterly normal.

These people are so fucking deeply weird that they make fun of utterly normal shit.  [utter mouth-breathers] "Look at her, breathing through her nose...how weird is that?  You can't elect someone that weird!" [/utter mouth-breathers]

And a whole lot of this.  They have zero idea how to deal with a candidate who genuinely smiles and laughs instead of spending every breath shitting on people.
