three questions:

1.  What the hell is Vortex bottled beer?

2.  What did ever happen with Clear Beer?  Go the way of Ice Beer or what?

3.  9 fucking years into the Trump soap opera, not one fucking journalist on the left, right, or middle ever asked him to define "socialism."  You don't even need to put him on the spot and say, "Give us the literal definition of the word, sir."  Just ask, "What is your understanding, or how do you define socialism, Mr. President?"  How has nobody done that.

Pretty sure they're chanting "Kamala" but man oh man a crowd chanting lock him up might take me over the edge

It would be great, but not as great as if Hilary came out to lead the chant.  Fuck.  This is all like a fever dream…

That was when America was great.  When the government could just run completely racist program, deporting American citizens in some cases, and they didn't need to hide behind non-racist names.  They could just come out and call it "Operation Wetback", and no one would complain.

I'm telling y'all ... Kamala has them flummoxed.

1) As a female, she represents more than 50% of the population

2) As a minority, they can't give voice to what they really thing without proving themselves to be the racists they've spent the last 16 years denying that they are

3) She's got no real baggage and they can't slut shame her without seeming petty, judgemental and to be not caring about the issues.

Were I Kamala, I'd go on the offensive: "Over the next few months, I'll guarantee you'll hear a lot about my relationships, about DEI etc ... That's because they have no vision, no plan, no dreams.  The only thing they know is the politics of personal attacks. That's what my opponent has left as their legacy. Personal attacks, grievances and whining.   I may have had some political differences with the man, but can you imagine what Ronald Reagan would say about what the Republican party has become?"

The amount of money she raised in 24 hrs is eye opening to career political R’s

We need to stop using Reagan as some example to shame Republicans. He was as much a piece of shit as Trump. I don't know what Republican would actually make the point... maybe Eisenhower?

They'll get Vance to quit and name someone else. I give it a week, tops.

I could easily see that. What are the rules with that? Now that's he's on the announced ticket is Trump stuck with him? If so, can't wait to hear the bellyaching by MAGA that we were allowed to change out Biden but they're stuck with the couch cushion-fucker.

Of  course that's what they called it. Do you like the sound of any of these options?:

Operation Greaser

Operation Beaner

Operation Spick and Span.

I thought not. I mean they had focus groups in the 50's people.

Yeah, I don't know that they can get rid of Vance.

He's a Peter Thiel creation.  Dude has been groomed from way back to be the billionaires' bitch boy and do whatever they want.  I guarantee you the whole deal was if Donald wanted the big money to back him he had to pick Vance.  Thiel and his ilk want a tool in place so once Trump croaks or they 25th his ass out of office, their man is in place to start running down the whole "end democracy, let the corpos completely take over" checklist.

I don't know that any of the other big name candidates have the same support and/or are dumb enough to hitch the wagon to Drumpf at this point.  All fun and games when you're running against a semi-ambulatory corpse who you've had four years to shit on and blame for everything.  With Harris?  Not so much.

Chortles.

Eisenhower had the temerity to use a man servant to help him get dressed each day, including underwear.  Can you imagine what the GOP would think of that....today?

This is so silly. This was all figured out weeks, if not months, ago. The very reason Harris made the most sense is specifically because she would have access to the war chest by law. They are grasping at smoke.

There is a slight bit of wiggle room in the law.  But, the FEC regs seem to be concerned with donations earmarked by the donor (in writing) for a specific candidate and/or a specific election.

First, I doubt that many donor are that specific in their donations.  Second, the way campaign finance is structured these days, PACs, etc., there's little way to make a donation to, say, Joe Biden, specifically, for November 2024.  Such donations that were that specific would likely have to be returned.

If it’s announced that Kamala has to return some of the donations, the ensuing donation surge at ActBlue would make earlier this week look like child’s play.

Trump is pretty much the dumbest president ever …..

Extreme low IQ, I’ll guess low 70’s (if he can read)

And, assuming he is referring to Venezuelans seeking political asylum in the US, they are very likely staunch anti-communists akin to Cubans and Eastern Bloc immigrants, and, if naturalized, highly likely to vote for him.

Fucking moron.

Completely random thought here.  Reading Thiel's bio, there's a statement that he believes democracy is inconsistent with freedom.

Apart from what elite assholes like Thiel think constitutes freedom (to make more money without taxation), and what gun-toting dipshits think constitutes freedumb, it occurs to me that we have actually pretty well maximized freedom here.  Such that the various freedoms are now running into conflict with each other.
