Or struggling media that serves a valuable public service parasitized by investors to extract value for share holders over viable modernization strategies.

Where we are now?  Grift > Integrity  Michael Milken & Ivan Boesky American Heroes!

"You start out saying you have to vote for Trump because of Hillary Clinton"

I made this point to someone the other day. Remember how many people were like "No no, I don't want to vote for Trump, but I am made to because the other option is Hillary". Flash forward to now, and the last time Trump wasn't the republican nominee was 2012.

I think the best explanation of this is peoples' inability to remain in a state of cognitive dissonance or to live and think incongruently for very long. There's no homeostasis in "Trump is bad but I will vote for him": either Trump is good and voting for and supporting him is good, or Trump is bad and voting for and supporting him is bad.

I guarantee that there are some who were Jeb Bush’s supporters in 2016 and they ended up at the Capitol on Jan 6th and have a yard full of MAGA  signs today. One step at a time.

How bout we all just eat our burgers at Posse East like the longhorns we are?

Or Crown & Anchor, or Billy's on Burnet, or Workhorse, all of which are less expensive than fucking Chili's and worlds apart in quality.

Never! Posse East for life

I worked at Posse for a year so affinity and whatnot.

Both are yummy

Posse alum as well. 1990 for about 6 months. Cook and beertender.

CSB: However, I have a soft spot for the C and A.  The night if 4th and 5, I arrived at the Posse at around 3pm, only to find all tables staked out and unavailable.

So I went over to the Crown and settled in and waited for my crew.  This was not my usual crew, since they all had game tickets.  I had sold mine at face value to a friend since my in laws were in town, my wife was pregnant, we were finishing up our new home, and I had drank enough beer that season to float the Russian army.

The new crew was great and we had a great time analyzing the game in real time which was easy since I did the whole night without drinking since I wanted to be able to drive safely if there should be meriment on the drag after the game.

I will never forget that night and the unbelievable feeling when Vince strolled into the end zone.  Thank you crown and Anchor.

PS  I like their burgers better than the Posse.

So you didn't have a valid excuse?

Crown & Anchor loyalist, as I spent a fair amount of time there dissipating law school stress.

But Posse is just fine as an alternative.  Thankful that both, for now, have been spared redevelopment.  But you only need to look at the former Double Dave's location to know it's just a matter of time.

Oh, and Trump can get fucked.

I hear the burgers at Casino El Camino go quite well with a bottle of Salt Lick Cellars BBQ Red

She dragged me to the polls twice on Monday and twice yesterday, but the long lines deterred her. Last night after dinner she asked me if I wanted to try again to go vote with her. I said, nah, I’ll try again on Thursday since I had a business trip today. So she left by herself but the line was long again and she bailed. While I was on my flight this morning, she texted that she was in line to vote. And had waited almost an hour.  I nearly cried. So proud!

Happy she got to vote!  For those that haven't, please don't be deterred by lines.  Lines will be shortest on Sunday but hours are a bit reduced on Sunday.  Here are some places you can vote in Travis County that have the fewest number of early voters per day:

East:

Anita Ferrales Coy Facility - in east Austin, an old AISD school that is now closed - about 170 voters per day - lowest turnout in town

Cepeda Branch Library - also in east Austin - about 350 voters per day

Community Center at Del Valle - this may surprise you but it's in Del Valle, just past the airport - 430 voters per day

Delco Center - AISD gym off 183 in east Austin.  The Delco Center may have more parking than the airport - 550 per day

Central:

Travis Co Civil and Family Courts Facility - this is downtown on Guadelupe just south of campus.  UT has a parking garage just south of it. - 280 voters per day

LBJ School of Public Affairs - on the west side of campus.  I'm not sure about free parking but UT has another parking garage just south of it, by the soccer/track stadium - 615 voters per day

Austin Rec Center - next to House Park off Lamar.  Free parking.  Free skateboarding. Some folks living in their cars. - 850 per day

North Central:

Austin Permitting and Development Center - this is central/north, near the Highland Mall ACC campus.  They have a parking garage.  This is a City of Austin facility so it is very nice and probably cost $1000/sq ft to build - 752 per day

Travis Co Clerk - on Airport Blvd, nowhere near the airport, it's south of 290 and west of IH-35.  They wish they had CoA money. - 659 per day

West:

Lake Travis ISD Educational Development Center - I have never been here but it probably has something to do with football, it's just off 620 in Lakeway - 695 per day.  If you are waiting in line at Bee Caves City Hall then get in your car and drive to this place with 1/3 the number of voters.

North:

Gus Garcia Recreation Center - on Rundberg just east of IH-35 - 800 per day

Round Rock ISD Hartfield PAC - on McNeil east of Parmer, adjacent to McNeil HS - 971 per day

South:

Dove Springs Recreation Center - hey it's in Dove Springs, a little south of Stassney and east of IH-35 - 700 per day

More info here showing locations, current wait times and a report of the daily totals for each location, which is the data I used above:

I remember the giant caravan slowly moving towards our borders in the 2018 election. Did it ever get here or is this the same caravan?

I don't think it ever gets here. It magically disappears, until the next one forms right before an election.

Texas gives off strong “stick to the whites” wine vibes (As does Virginia).

TBC: that’s not a compliment.

Yeah, you know what else gives off "stick to the whites" vibes? The famously mediocre Loire Valley.
Maybe you should stick to Merlot.

what the fuck is this bitch talking about?

She was speaking in code so Dems would know where to go to have sex with toddlers and suck the blood out of babies. You geniuses broke the pizza code, so we had to come up with a new one.

You need to thank Donald Trump for infiltrating the Epstein trafficking operation and protecting those young girls from the evil clutches of libtards. His work there was just the beginning of his unsung heroism in the protection of honor and decency in this once great country.

But those are just words. Pictures tell the story! There's truth in image!

I'm here to grab pussies.

It's okay, I'm a celebrity, and they're mostly pussies over 18 years of age.

Now show me to the dog and cat eaters of Springfield.

Sonic smasher is pretty darn good, but I did get it at the one “good” Sonic still in the area. Not cheap but less than Chilis and you can avoid the shame spiral from realizing you’re sitting at a table eating at fucking Chilis.

Are we talking about good burgers from places you're ashamed to patronize? Because I have seen some shit.

And 2000 people in the caravan?  I mean isn't that just a normal Tuesday if you believe all the other shit they've been spouting.

Are they bringing the fentanyl and other party favors or is this a different caravan?
