CNN is on site as a ballot counting location in Maricopa.

That place looks like a supermax prison in terms of security.

What would even be the point of a pardon? He'd just immediately break any deal they agreed to.

They should offer him asylum instead, since he doesn't seem to understand what that is.

ABC Nightly News uses Nate Silver 538 as their go to for polls. I hate the news.

I didn't think Nate Silver was associated with 538 any longer?

He's not.  He's also still the best aggregator/modeler.

Junior's in fine shape today

It makes me sick thinking of the possibility of 4 more years of orange man and his pathetic, lying and corrupt family being back in power.

And can confirm on OK.  My cousin's wife is a teacher in Tulsa, and she's ready to burn everything down.

She could start with Norman?

Texas Dems were a unique blend of non-bleeding heart liberalism and non-punative conservatism.

When this place was different there was, I believe from my suburban white boy perspective, a sense that you should be handling your own business and leaving me alone. But, if someone was in real bind, hands would be happily extended. Well, between white people for the most part, I suppose.

We're just a couple of decades from completely transitioning to Anywhere USA NAZI Germany.

THIS. It's kind of a hard feeling to articulate but this is something I've noticed, and multiple friends have remarked to me independently.

Texas has always been culturally conservative, undeniably so, but the Texas I grew up in was a live and let live place. Even as the religious far right really took hold of the GOP in the Bush years, and the GOP took full control of the state under Obama and started going full Loony Toons... SCOTUS generally kept things in check. There was a tolerable baseline.

Now? The guardrails are gone, the rage and hatred are palpable, and there is no light at the end of the tunnel, because even if Harris or Allred by some miracle win this cycle, the GOP still has an iron grip on the state government and it's likely to be at least a decade before SCOTUS is anything but a Christofascist rubber stamp.

Possible genius or maybe random kid who had an incredible hot streak during one election cycle Chaz Nuttycombe (his real name!) predicts 69% chance of Harris win, with 308EVs

Really letting his Nuttycombes hang with a GA 8/10 Democratic win prob.

Hits near to home. About 20 years ago after a happy hour work function in a chilis or a peer restaurant in the north Dallas area around northwest highway, my African-American friend took me to a lovely little place down the road called Dallas gentlemen’s club where to out surprise Alan iverson and crew were a couple tables away with many bottles of Dom and the attention of most of the talent.  It was reported the next morning that he missed shoot around due to illness, but managed to play in the game that night.

We talkin’ about shoot around? Shoot around?!?

I suspect this is why it was denied:

That's a good mootness argument.  If the claim was based solely on Pa. law and actions occurring in Pa., and no further actions will occur, then there is no dispute going forward to resolve.  And that deprives the court of jurisdiction to act (courts only resolve actual disputes - and for injunctions, that dispute MUST be about a future harm).

It's a scam.  And anyone who signed the petition may have an independent claim against Musk for fraud or something similar.

Musk is a piece of dick.

Yep. Reading through it, as soon as it was mentioned that there would be no more Pennsylvania “winners,” I knew that jurisdiction was off the table.

I suppose there might be a big enough pool for a class action, maybe (wasn’t my specialty in law school). However, I think anyone brave enough to bring individual fraud claims will simply be steamrolled by Musk’s endless supply of money and law goblins.

And he’s had Trump winning this thing the whole way. But don’t let the Chili’s delusion mob know that.

MAGA gonna claim she's obviously trailing bigly and she's desperate for votes or something

The polls have a problem picking up some subtleties. For instance, it might be harder to pick up the large number of new voters, of which African-American and women voters make up a large percentage, and thus miss that those folks are signing up due to their enthusiasm for Project 2025 and JD Vance.

I also know that Ann Salzer did not ask likely voters how they felt about pet squirrels.  It is that type of clearly partisan modeling - I call it data manipulation - that prevents the upcoming Trump red wave from being accurately reported.

Junior just mad because he was too much of a nobody to get invited to Diddy’s freak offs and his Dad’s stories about the 13 year olds on the island make him jealous.

At the end of the Bulwark interview with her (posted yesterday on this thread), she has a really good descripton for how that fact pattern evolved.  Her poll was not wrong as much it was "early".

Oh cool, yesterday.  I'll look that up.

Hope he chokes on a hamburder, while the fry cooks are looking for their prophylactic.  I mean they had just used it in the aisle between the griddle and condiment station, where could it have possibly rolled off to?

Well I'm about to lose my shit. Just checked the Collin County spreadsheet for last Sunday and none of the three people in my household that voted that day are on it.

Not sure if you resolved this yet, but just checked mine for Collin County also.  I’m 99% sure I voted on the 24th and didn’t see my name, but when I checked the 25th I was there.  So maybe a day lag or maybe I can’t remember what I did two weeks ago.
