2024 Presidential Election Thread - Let's keep the party going.

Per the AJC and their live blog, 1.1 to 1.2 million expected today, but difficult to say because evening after work voting may push this well higher.  Despite the bomb threats, things are operating smoothly.
If this bears out, the magic number in Georgia will likely by somewhere between 2.7 million and 2.9 million.

Should I let my GA bet ride? Roughly $100 to win $300.

Florida will be achieving it's new status as a GOP vote sink from all the midwestern Republicans who moved there during COVID, effectively making the blue wall the bluer wall.

But as it's population grows, it'll have more electoral votes. FL may surpass NY in the 2030 census.

Good turnover in Democratic areas in Atlanta metro, right?

Hard to know for sure.  Seen some good things, Gwinnett 30k over expected at noon, Dekalb on 44k total at noon, nothing clear elsewhere, and veracity is an issue period.

I would, but that's me.

The time to worry about that is in 2030, not 2024.  Not even 2028.

The only thing I don't like seeing is that there is going to be a higher number of rejected ballots in NV (which can be cured) because of signature mismatch.  The youth and signing things...

Good thing the Harris ground game will be on top of that.

Florida being a black hole has also the added advantage that makes Texas less of a magnet for crazy MAGA, makes the demographic shift happen sooner, in all my idealized scenarios they keep growing and growin in MAGA people with a foot in the grave.

Florida will become some version of red California/NY, which in turn makes all the places those people left bluer.  And should drive more blue voters out of FL and into states that could use new blue voters

"Anybody who thinks it's time to play militia, F around and find out. Anybody who thinks it's time to insult, to deride, to mistreat, to threaten people, F around and find out," said Krasner. "We do have the cuffs, we do have the jail cells, we do have the Philly juries and we have the state prisons. So, if you're going to turn the election into some form of coercion, if you're going to try to bully people, bully votes or voters, if you're going to try to erase votes, if you're going to try any of that nonsense, F around and find out."

Damn shame, they’re all moving right where all the catastrophic hurricanes will be hitting in the next 20 years.

Yeah, anyone both sidesing things at this point either isn't paying attention, or is not acting in good faith.

It's like comparing a paper cut to losing a finger to a table saw. I mean, both involve cutting your finger, so they're basically the same right?

Fuck him. He bought his ticket. You want to side with the worst of humanity then don't be shocked when your siding with them goes very badly for you. We've give him a Medal of Freedom.

Jokes aside, I'm legit worried for that guy's safety should Trump lose.

I'm not. Because that would require that somebody accept the mainstream view of cause and effect and also be crazy enough to kill somebody over this election.

They will blame government lasers or some shit.

There’s a lot of people that think both have gone too far away from center, it’s not like this is something new.  There’s plenty of charts and polls over the last ten years that prove that.  Sorry for having a different opinion than the norm in here.  There’s not much of a debate that both parties have gotten further and further apart steadily in the last ten years.  Are they the same no but good lord it’s shouldn’t be bad to point that out and negative reactions to that just prove the point more. One article said when Clinton was elected only 25% of democrats claimed to be liberal now it’s like 75%, there’s a difference now that’s all I’m saying. Just like most republicans use to not be blind Trump cult lovers.  I don’t get how saying the divide on both sides has gotten worse is a bad thing.

Incredibly unlikely, but that's a topic for another thread.

Sorry, FL passed NY in 2020. FL has 30 and NY has 28.
