Saw an elderly white guy at HEB today wearing a Harris Walz t-shirt.  I said "nice shirt" and he gave me the thumbs up.

Oh shit, maybe he was Aggie?

Saw a "Christians for Harris" on a white geriatric lady a couple months ago in an HEB. (it was open) I gave her the same comment and she quietly said thank you and we went on our way.

Just drove past my local polling location. It is near an elementary school. It was packed. Mostly women with kids in tow all decked out in their costumes.

Women better vote like this is their last chance to do so... because it will be if these fucks had their way.

r/WhitePeopleTwitter - Mask off

And apparently non-white males.

Had drinks in Houston with a lifelong Republican gay guy. Very involved in the party, hosts fundraisers for them, etc. He’s praying for the end of Trump. No way he’s voting for those guys.

This describes the vast majority of people I know. However most are holding their nose and voting Trump. I don’t understand his grip on this party, or independent smart thinkers I know voting for Trump. I simply do not understand it and never will. Thankfully this’ll be the end of him running but I fear the GOP is too far gone because of Trump to ever recover.

Side note - I’m good family friends with a Houston gay man Republican. Could be the same dude.

I just voted Kamala and Allred. In ‘16 and ‘20 I didn’t vote. Now, I feel unclean after voting Dem first time in my life.

Until the Trump run in 2016, I often felt that way as a consistent Dem voter.

"It's so weird because on the one hand, state/national polls are telling us it's a tied race and it's a literal coin flip But on the other hand, local/house polls are telling us Harris is running at or ahead of Biden's 2020 result - On top of doing better with groups like white-college voters than Biden, which would suggest she's winning pretty easily"

Also, this recitation is as fucking good as it gets.  Love Michael Sheen, magnificent Welsh bastard.

Holy shit.  My chihuahua knows more about literature than I do, but I know that poem.  It's nice to see a master at work.

I am legit starting to hate Vance more than Trump. By a lot

Definitely. He's a narcissistic scumbag but Trump's brain is mush. He is a moron being manipulated to a desired end - a useful idiot.

JD Vance very much knows what he is doing, that it's wrong, and is doing it anyway. He is a top tier piece of shit on the Abbot/Cruz/Rick Scott level.

Vibes from the battleground: driving home from work just now in a 50/50 area a car pulled up next to me loudly listening to a Kamala interview. I paused before looking to guess the demographics of the driver. I was wrong. Early 30s white guy. Gave him a thumbs up before I pulled away. I’ll take any positive signs I can get right now in PA.

Don't get it twisted, the bro demo Trump/Vance are chasing is primarialy the 18 to late 20's that don't remember 9/11, the Bush administration, and even a good chunk of Obama. The early-mid 30's have only ever known the GOP as extremely terrible Presidents in GWB and Trump, and are the then-youth vote that propelled Obama in '08. That is one of the most solidly Democratic cohorts in the country.

Look, you did the right thing. You'll feel good about it on your deathbed. I want to give you genuine props for crossing over. I know American politics are essentially team sports fandom at this point and it's hard to do.

But the fact of the matter is that anyone that recognizes what Trump is and continues to vote for him anyway out of blind partisanship is not a smart, independent thinker. That is the polar opposite.

"Trump is told" using "RCP averages" = telling him what he wants to hear

That actually just raised my confidence level by 10% - they're relying on external data to project strength and not their own numbers.

I agree with you in this instance. But there’s a large swath of Trump voters who otherwise exhibit good judgement and are highly successful people. I simply do not understand and will be the greatest mystery of my life.

I really don't understand young men.  I understand young women better, oddly enough.  They still have the ambitions that women have always had.  Young men just want to sit around, play video games, and aren't interesting in girls, which is what I completely don't understand.

In my "other world," the women back that up, actually.  (If a woman has been a pro for more than five years, I consider her a Phd level expert on the sexual habits of men.)  They will tell you the customer demand significantly drops off with the under 35 crowd.  Sure, there's a financial aspect with them not being able to afford it but it's also the interest just isn't there, whereas Boomers were/are complete horn dogs along with older Gen X to a lesser degree.

Anyway, back to regularly scheduled programming and doom scrolling.

Are  you a pimp? You have to tell us if you are. And do we get a Surly discount. Like maybe three minutes for the price of two?

I don’t understand why you’re not 100% confident already. Trump had a puncher’s chance before the MSG shitshow. He has no shot.

Also, you know who bitches about the refs?  Fucking losers do.  He's the fucking loserest loser in the history of loserdom.  It's not that it's what he does, it's that it's what he IS.

I honestly just don't see how women turning out this strong for this long is going to suddenly change in the next 4 days. There is no way you can convince me that women in any state are overwhelmingly voting for trump

There are many such people who are genuinely shitty human beings.  Don't overthink it.

Honestly I think it’s a combo of income tax rate, corporate tax rate and feelings on abortion and LGTBQ+. If you run in certain circles, 95% of these people detest Trump. 5% are fucking involved in his campaign efforts.

Counter point from another swing state. I just ran up to 7-11 to grab some ice so I can hand out trick or treat beers to parents. One of "those" trucks was in the parking lot. Big. Red white and blue Trump graphic on the hood. Giant ass dual flags hanging out of the tailgate. Stars and stripes and Cheeto. I was looking forward to walking in and immediately realizing who the jackass was. It took me a minute. Middle aged guy. Overweight. To my abject horror he was wearing a green Nike Michigan State sweatshirt,  of which I own an identical one and now must burn. I *almost* gave the guy an enthusiastic "Go Blue" but I just couldn't get those words out of my mouth.

Thankfully he's an anomaly around here and he'll be crying in his man boobs next week.

Amarillo.  Of course.  Fucking hilarious.

And it's a DTPA claim.  That's it.  That's the only claim.

Dumb as shit.

But in that court, it might win, because the law doesn't matter there.  Only Trump matters.

My Jewish nieces just started at Episcopal school because the catholic school boys circled up and shouted “Heil Hitler” at them, and the school and bishop did nothing because god forbid they discipline BMD kids. They missed the perfect chance to promote ecumenical inclusion and to nip antisemitism in the bud. Cowards.

Don't blame the Catholic kids. They'd probably all been diddled.

USFL story of how Trump ruined the league.

Interesting part where Trump convinced many of the other USFL owners that the NFL will be so afraid of Trump and Roy Cohn that the NFL will just settle. (Same story as Trump says how every country is afraid of him)

Trump was one of the few plaintiff witness and was destroyed by the NFL lawyer. Worth staying to end of the story how the NFL paid their $3 in damages.

Might as well relax, y'all. Per Birmingham Talk Radio, it's all over.

It was over 2 weeks ago when Trump beat Kamala. All that's happening now is Trump attempting to ward off the Democrat cheating.

That's right, cheating with machines, flaky security, enthusiastic foreign votes, and more!

At least this time we have good lawyers who are catching it as it happens.

Let's take a caller:

80YearOldVoiceButProbably40: "Well I tell ya, if they want trouble they gon git trouble!"

That's all we can do, wait, watch, and pray for Trump!

On the drive home I picked up about 5 minutes of KLBJ AM. They're to the point where they're imploring their knuckle dragging listeners to vote while entertaining the callers questioning how many illegal aliens are voting and will that be enough to swing the election.

When Mark and Melynda are trying to put lipstick on the Trump pig you've gotta feel good about things.
