Does "Maye" even exist or are we looking at a Norman Bates situation with Elmo?  Also, is "Maye" suggesting you can vote 10x at the same polling place(s)?  I'm registered to vote in KY, TX & NY and you're GD right I'm using all 3 votes!

This today, 60 Minutes tomorrow, Stern Tuesday

Lots of different audiences in a 3 day span, from gender to age to socioeconomic status

And then you get the Univision townhall on the 10th to give you the demo move

Just finished listening. Obviously not the target audience, but a very strong showing for Kamala.

I like what they're doing here and they've been doing it for awhile.  Even when Biden was the top of the ticket, they were going on podcasts instead of the NYT and what not.  It's a more targeted audience and in this case, Call Her Daddy is decidedly younger women who may or may not vote so it's a turnout play.  Also, they have millions of listeners which is more than the NYT editorial page....

She's the Joe Rogan of women podcasts. Active listeners measured in millions, main demo 18-40 year old women who work and are normal.

That's exactly how I described it to my wife.  Joe Rogan for young women.  (I don't listen to either but they have huge audiences.)  This combined with Taylor Swift might have major turnout implications.

FWIW, the previous episode of Call Her Daddy is titled "Heather McMahon:  Blow job, hall passes, and frat daddies."

Lulz.

I just googled it. And the interview with her talking with a pornstar came up. I listened but had to stop when they talked about tonguing butt while jerking off dudes.

Not because I’m not hip to the scene. But I do have to cook dinner.

I wonder if Kamila will be asked the same questions about Dougie fresh.

2024 is wild.

My 8 year old daughter is now legitimately afraid of me voting for bob Casey because McCormick is running an ad tying Casey to an illegal immigrant that raped an 8 year old girl during kids shows.

the worst fucking people.

I assume you saw that turnip warned Kamala voters they will get hurt, if they are known to support her.

My Kamala sign going up asap.

If you have 10 minutes, listen to James Carville talk in detail about running barbed wire through Trump's "fat fucking ass" and how Melania is "horse fucking" Trump:

I can't say I actually like James Carville. It's been 30 years and I am still figuring it out.  But he has to be one of my top five people I'd like to get drunk with.  "We've had engineers weigh in; the man is incapable of wiping his ass."

If smell-o-vision was real, this video would inject a mix of old man piss and Tony's up your nostrils.

Deadline:

EXCLUSIVE: Governor Tim Walz is smartly expanding his media interview schedule.

Kamala Harris’ vice presidential nominee will be virtually sitting down with the SmartLess podcast Monday, we hear.

Minnesota Gov. Walz, who is also appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow, will hold a Zoom conversation with the popular podcast hosts, actors Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett. The interview is set to air sometime in the next week or so, according to sources.

The Biden/Harris campaign people are actually good at their jobs.  They know the 30 day window is when the actual undecideds start to dial in.  They know we don't need a constant 6 month barrage of bullshit.

It's no coincidence that they're coming hard now and Obama is now out there.

No one would give a fuck what she said to the NYT back in August or some shit.

What's cool about that is I doubt they suddenly realized that Democratic policies are better for the economy than Republican policies. That would take considerable reprogramming.  Instead this is an indictment of his competence.

Eh, not sure I agree with your police work there.  The point of inflection is 1992, and since then every successful candidate has been a newcomer or outsider perceived as disruptive

Obama was broadly perceived in the same terms as Trump by the people who have been damaged the most by the consolidation of productivity gains- disruptive to the establishment order. And you can go back further than that.

Think about it this way: these are the presidents elected since WWII:

- sitting president/VP/Senator

- Supreme Allied Commander

- Sitting Senator

- Sitting President/VP/Senate Maj Leader

- Former VP
Vietnam ends

- Outsider Governor

- Radical Governor

- sitting VP CIA Director, VP, congressman, ambassador, son of powerful senator (return to establishment via next man up)

1992

- Southern Governor

- Southern Governor

- First term senator

- Notorious Celebrity

The relevant historical Trend here is that the white working class has been in political and cultural rebellion since the end of Vietnam and starting with Bill Clinton through Obama to Trump you see the recipe being refined to its essentials.

You do know who the current President is, right?  Dubya wasn't exactly an "outsider" either.  Dude had more political connections than most of the others combined.

I don't think I was clear - I meant the period on the graph when the approval of the president among whites without a college degree relative to the average rose through presidents of both parties from 1992-2020. That said, it's notable that since the end of Vietnam, the only two presidential election winners broadly perceived as part of the washington establishment  (Bush I and Biden) only lasted one term. Bush lost, and Biden would have.

I’m in the middle of the James Carville documentary that ran on CNN last night.  It’s pretty good and he is an interesting guy.  I would argue he understands politics better than anyone in this country.  Paul Begala reps the longhorns quite a bit in the doc.

Texags early vote tracking thread is just constant comparison to 2020. Republicans and whites are KILLING it in mail in voting compared to 2020. With absolutely no awareness of any difference in the anything between then and now, they are convinced Trump is winning bigly in PA, GA, and NC.

Zero recognition that it was the Republican state house that pushed mail in voting in 2019 because it benefits rural olds.

They are convinced Trump is winning Virginia. Early voting turnout strong in SW Virginia!!

The right wing media sources are already crafting the narrative that Trump was on track to win BIGLY u til the cheating started.

I think I read she lives in Canada? Of course she’s real, but feels like her “account” is just a burner account for him. Same weird conspiracy crap

Born in Canada, spent much of her adult life in ZA.  More in the US of late.

Seems like his parents and home life were a bit of a disaster.

Trump will win Southwest Virginia.  Too bad for them that no one really lives there.

I want Harris to blow out Trump and a part of me wants MAGA to believe that it was rigged.  I want them to believe that no matter what they do, it's rigged against them, and so they should just fucking give up.
