In a single day?  Yeah, that's a pretty good punch.  Not unprecedented, but not common - Daily drops of $3 or more are relatively rare.

Or say "no thanks" which is what the fuck up is.

We know the shit eaters who want extra broken glass on their plate exist.

We know people who like airplane rubber chicken exist.

We know people who don't like either exist.

It's why Hillary lost to Donald Trump the first time and it's why Biden may be in trouble this time. Unenthusiastic people stay home and don't vote.

if Donald Trump doesn’t conspire with Russia to flood social media with untruths and the FBI doesn’t kneecap Hillary right before the vote, she still wins even carrying 25 years of Vince Foster bullshit

As it turns out, the Kingdom ain't so great at managing money.  Who knew putting indoor ski slopes in the desert and paying billions to golfers and wrestlers wasn't a solid financial move?

Immamac's posts are just another explanation of how "moderate/undecided/disengaged" voters require perfection of any democrat from solely their individual perspective, and if that doesn't happen (which is literally impossible), well I guess I'll just vote for the angry one who says government sucks, or just won't vote because "both sides suck" which usually results in right wingers who do nothing winning elections. There's no solution to that problem for democrats, the majority of American's have full on brain rot, to the fucking core, there is nothing that will ever be enough for these people.

Moderate does not reconcile with Undecided/Disengaged.

I'm posting about "likely" voters.

Article from The Atlantic about our NATO allies in Europe getting ready for another Trump Administration (I'd forgotten about Trump labeling the EU our "foe"):

I'm none of those things and am easily voting for Biden a second time it's not even a choice. It wouldn't even be a choice if the Republicans chose someone who wasn't trump.

A lot of you must really like your bubbles because the real world has a lot more of what I'm talking about than here on a politics board where everyone is engaged.

Thomas has already said the Supreme Court needs to look at the rulings that led to legal birth control, mixed-race marriage, etc.  There's a handful of rulings that legal birth control, mixed-race marriage, birth control being used between non-married adults and being shipped across state lines, homosexual relations, etc. rely upon (think of it as a Jenga tower), and the abortion block was just removed.

John, how can you be undecided?

John, 58, Pennsylvania, white, customer relations

Well, I would say Biden now is off the table after today, but I think today’s action —

Moderator, Frank Luntz

Biden?

John, 58, Pennsylvania, white, customer relations

— is off the table for me. Yes, Biden.

Hilary, 55, California, white, social worker

Because of the verdict?

John, 58, Pennsylvania, white, customer relations

Yes, because —

Hilary, 55, California, white, social worker

Do you find him a bit culpable for this, in a sense?

John, 58, Pennsylvania, white, customer relations

I think Biden looks ungracious and looks incredibly weak to me. I can envision a scenario where a lot of undecideds who maybe won’t pull the lever for Trump run to Robert Kennedy Jr.

Moderator, Frank Luntz

But I’ve never had someone blame another candidate for the failure of the original candidate. And that’s exactly what you’re doing here.

John, 58, Pennsylvania, white, customer relations

And I was very highly critical of Trump in 2019, and that’s what led to his first impeachment when he was trying to fish after and go after Biden politically. I thought that was a mistake. He lost my vote on that in 2020. But I don’t know. I guess I thought Joe Biden was above this.

Jorge, 52, California, Latino, medical field

I agree with you.

Hilary, 55, California, white, social worker

May I ask — is it based on anything that Joe Biden said after the verdict?

John, 58, Pennsylvania, white, customer relations

I think it’s just a campaign tagline: Trump, convicted felon.

John now won't vote for Biden because he's making a factual statement on the campaign trail that Donald Trump is a convicted felon.  And, of course, if it was the other way around, Trump would be spiking the football at every opportunity.

Those NY Times voter interviews can get so ridiculous that they could be mistaken for The Onion.

And yet, there are people among each and every one of us, on this forum, in our communities, in our daily lives that are.....ahem...less intellectual than these people.  And they vote, too.

I think he *didnt* say mixed race. That’s what made it funny.  He said all these substantive due process cases are suspect, listed them out, *somehow* forgot about Loving.

Correct.  That was the real chef's kiss.  He listed ALL the major SDP cases as "these are bullshit and we should kill them all," but for SOME MYSTERIOUS REASON, left out Loving v. Virginia.

He's a giant hypocritical corrupt piece of shit. He truly is the worst SCOTUS justice we've ever had.

Another thought I had this morning is how in 2024 when computers, social media, electronics and computers in general are dominating society and for the large part industry are we voting on a president between 3 people that don’t have the first fucking clue how any of this works to the point where they have no opinion other than “national security, build chips here and don’t sell them to China”

this is the biggest glaring hole in the entire thing right now. I want to see Bidens team put together a plan and have him present it in a believable way that he has a basic understanding of what he’s saying. That would be great.

fucking AI is going crazy and there’s just silence from the people running for office it’s actually hilarious.

This is pathetic and out of touch. It’s not wrong or bad. I’m not shitting on Biden for doing the wrong things etc I’m saying it’s just a huge missed opportunity that is so obvious and that everyone cares about, yet no soundbites clips or interviews on this.

Using Tony Soprano as an example of someone that does the dirty work so our hands can stay clean tracks with people that religiously watched The Apprentice for years who have the mindset that "hey, this person knows how to get shit done!  He  has my vote!"

Life imitating art.

If Biden announced a plan to combat AI, 40% of the population would immediately pledge undying loyalty to the new AI overlords.

What if he simply launched a government plan to teach people the basics of AI in a way that was relevant to their lives?

What if he just talked about non scary, helpful ways AI has helped him in his job which requires a tremendous amount of data to be given to him?

Seriously would anyone be fucking worried about Trump if it weren't for the Electoral College. The felony fuckstick isn't winning a popular vote, ever.

I just read in the Mexico thread that this is bad and antidemocratic to take away among other things.

I don't give a shit about the Electoral College. It's been the way we vote for Presidents for over 2 centuries. It is what it is. I just find it funny as shit that Republicans are so against AA and DEI but it's because of DEI/AA that their candidates even stand a chance of being elected.

That independent number is really good.

Swing voters +36 approve of it.  Latinos +36 and AA +61.  Same with young voters +31

All numbers that would probably get Biden a win.  Let's see if it has an actual impact.

Saw this on Reddit is am surprised it took me this long to realize it. The Electoral College is Affirmative Action/DEI for Republican presidential candidates.

Can you even imagine what it would look like if the situations were reversed, and we had settled into a system where republicans were almost guaranteed to always get more votes, but the elections were coin flips? This Supreme Court probably would have already tossed out the EC.

I really should find those numbers encouraging.

But I just can't.  Truly, genuinely, I am now completely incapable of optimism.

I will not feel any sense of relief until Trump is dead, buried, and the first 10,000 detractors have pissed on his grave.  And even then, my relief is in the "maybe" column.

There's just such an overwhelming storm tide of stupidity, malfeasance, idiocy, and evil lashing against our shore that I won't believe that anything is left standing until the tide has gone all the way out and the sea is as smooth as glass.

I just wish that he’d announce that people shouldn’t climb up on their roofs and jump off.

Scratch that, it would just fill the hospitals with MAGA, he needs to tell them not to jump off anything higher than 20 feet in their air.
