Didn't make my Friday night reservation at Selden Standard because our United flight from Austin to Chicago got mxed (Joe Cook and Will Gallagher were on that flight). They ended up arriving at ORD 8 hours late and drove to Detroit. We took a SWA flight connecting in Baltimore to get there late Friday night.

That sucks. You missed a terrific dinner. I’ve been all over. That restaurant is as good as any anywhere for a non-Michelin/non-steakhouse dinner.

Love seeing the reviews and pics, y'all. Especially the Pinball Pete's one. Just took my 6 and 5 year old there the other day.

Just wish you would have been enjoying these things in order to take the edge off of a loss, though.

We went on Friday and Monday. It's a casino for children. Still have one in East Lansing apparently.

The only time I've ever been in Pinball's in EL was to get to the secret entrance of the Riv. I do believe it is still there. Did you ever make it to EL?

Sounds like good times were had by all. Would love to hear impressions about Detroit from those who stayed downtown.

Kind of jonesing to get to to MSU for a game after looking at all of the pictures and reading the threads this past weekend. Sadly it looks like my only chance this year will be on the 28th against OSU and that's a hell to the nope.

If I am ever in Ann Arbor again, I'll make another swing by Zingerman's Roadhouse.  I was invited by friends there Friday night and the food was great.

Zingermans is not overhyped.

Just wanted to say thanks for the recs on this thread.  Wife and I had a great time and appreciated all the advice.

In Detroit, we stayed at The Roost hotel in the Book Tower where Kampher Rooftop and Le Sepreme are.  Really recommend it for future Detroit trips.  In Detroit we ate at Apparattus Room (ok), Selden Standard (super), Freya (super) and Loui’s Pizza (meh) along with the in-house options which were all great.

In AA, we did the frat row walk to the stadium to just admire the debauchery and then hit campus and checked out the Law Library on the walk back from the game.  More of the stuff up north near Kerry Town was packed by the time we got there but we got into Last Word for a few cocktails and food before heading back.  Outstanding drinks and cool spot at Last Word so really appreciated that rec

Had such a good time, we are considering doing Nashville too for Vandy game.
