What’s pretty pathetic to my mind is how weak minded of a man he clearly is. So easily swayed by simple, and in many case factually wrong, ideas.

And the fact that he basically radicalized himself is pretty hilarious.

There's more bad news for Tesla. On Monday, we learned that CEO Elon Musk is continuing to slash his way through the company payroll as Tesla went through a fourth round of layoffs in four weeks. Yesterday, we discovered exactly what questions the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration wants answered about the safety of Tesla's Autopilot driver assist. And today, it emerged that the US Department of Justice is investigating whether or not Tesla committed securities or wire fraud by making misleading statements about Autopilot and its so-called "Full Self-Driving" (FSD) option.

Reuters reported that three people familiar with the matter told it about the investigation. One of the sources also told Reuters that the Securities and Exchange Commission is also investigating Tesla's claims about its driver assists.

This isn't the first time Tesla has been accused of securities fraud. In 2018, Musk agreed to a settlement with the SEC over his infamous "funding secured" tweet that sent the company's share price skyrocketing despite the fact that there was never actually a possibility that he would take the company private. As a result, Musk was required to step down as chairman, and both Musk and Tesla were ordered to pay $20 million in penalties, to be distributed to investors who lost money after being misled by Musk.

(However, a federal jury in 2023 sided with the CEO in a class-action lawsuit brought by investors.)

In another case, several Tesla owners filed a class-action lawsuit against the car company about "grossly exaggerated" range claims, alleging fraud and false advertising. The judge in that case ruled that the customers could not sue Tesla as a class, telling them instead that they had to pursue their cases individually via arbitration. We learned last October that the DOJ was also investigating the matter.

(Authorities in South Korea fined Tesla $2.2 million in January 2023 for misleading customers about range.)

Again, illegals cannot vote. From USA.gov

  Quote

Who cannot vote?

Non-citizens, including permanent legal residents, cannot vote in federal, state, and most local elections.

Some people cannot vote after being convicted of a felony or if they are currently serving time for other types of crimes. Rules are different in each state. Check this guide from the Department of Justice to understand the laws in your state.

Some people who have a mental disability may not be able to vote. Learn about your voting rights. Rules vary by state.

U.S. citizens residing in U.S. territories cannot vote for president in the general election.

There are more instances of DOCUMENTED voter fraud committed by.....Republicans, including actual Republican officials.

  Quote

In the jurisdictions we studied, very few noncitizens voted in the 2016 election. Across 42 jurisdictions, election officials who oversaw the tabulation of 23.5 million votes in the 2016 general election referred only an estimated 30 incidents of suspected noncitizen voting for further investigation or prosecution. In other words, improper noncitizen votes accounted for 0.0001 percent of the 2016 votes in those jurisdictions.

Saw a tweet yesterday that many insurance carriers are not writing new policies on the Cybertruck because of the repair costs related to the design.  The windshield, alone, is $5,000 and that doesn't include installation.

Don't worry, Elon has you covered since there's a Tesla-owned insurance company that will cover it for you...

Only as long as Tesla stock doesn’t drop back into the $140 range (or below) again.  Twitter only runs as long as Elmo has Tesla money.  And Musk not being able to steal hug chunk of Tesla’s revenue for his compensation isn’t helping him.

And it’s not so much about losing the advertisers as it’s people clicking on the remaining advertisers. Maybe among the incels there is a huge market for dick pills, cheap drop shipped Chinese lights, and vibrators and dildos, but not for everybody else.  I don’t think I’ve seen a relevant advertisement in months.

Hell, hopping on right now, my feed has ads for CRM platforms, AI, and ripoff video editing software.   None of those interest me, nor does the shitty OnlyFans wannabes that pop up in my feed.  It’s stunning how much he’s degraded the experience.

Okay that’s insane.

Nintendo said this: As of June 10, 2024, it will no longer be possible to post screenshots and videos to X (formerly Twitter) from the Nintendo Switch's Album, or send friend requests to social media users via the Friend Suggestions feature. Find out more: https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/65057

And Twitter said this in response: The gaming community is one of the largest and most vibrant communities on our platform, and we are dedicated to enhancing and supporting gaming-related features. As part of Nintendo's planned discontinuation of sharing content to X from the Nintendo Switch, from June 11th, users will need to download Switch gameplay media directly to their smartphones and share it natively on our platform. We worked together with Nintendo throughout this process to ensure API access for this integration, but ultimately it was a product decision made by Nintendo. Our partnership with Nintendo remains strong, and we are working together to ensure a smooth transition for all users. We will continue collaborating with partners to bring new and exciting experiences to our global gaming community.

Community note:  This is in direct response to X changing their API. Specifically, X is charging companies upwards of $40,000 or more per month to access its API. Sony's PlayStation and Microsoft's Xbox already removed integration with X last year. uk.pcmag.com/sony-playstati… uk.pcmag.com/news/146559/mi… en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/de…

——-

So Twitter has run off the Sony/PlayStation, Microsoft/XBox, and Nintendo platforms from posting directly on Twitter.

All because Twitrer wanted to collect around $1.5 million (or more) a year from Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo, who had made it easy for millions of people to create a shitload of content on Twitter for free.

In 2001, Mack Brown and Greg Davis didnt play one of the greatest Texas running backs Cedric Benson because he was a freshman and maybe didnt know the pass protections. Texas scored 3 points, probably due to a Derrick Johnson forced fumble. This is the equivalent football blunder as Musk running off communities from twitter.

Six boffins mostly hailing from Singapore-based universities say they can prove it's possible to interfere with autonomous vehicles by exploiting the machines' reliance on camera-based computer vision and cause them to not recognize road signs.

The technique, dubbed GhostStripe [PDF] in a paper to be presented at the ACM International Conference on Mobile Systems next month, is undetectable to the human eye, but could be deadly to Tesla and Baidu Apollo drivers as it exploits the sensors employed by both brands – specifically CMOS camera sensors.
