As opposed to Boeing getting billions of dollars from us to do, exactly not this.

Shit, the failure was starliner. So actually Boeing. Hard to keep track of which essential "defense industrial base" contractor is shitting the bed at the moment versus the one that is actually delivering results.

Oh Jesus Christ. A 350 is 5.7 liters, a 302 cubic inch engine is 5.0 liters.

Unless for some unknown reason you are talking about the old Chrysler 3.5 engine and the old 3.6 liter GM engines.

At the time (mid-90s) that the Ford vs. Chevy vs. Mopar guys were standing in the high school parking lot arguing, they (we) absolutely mixed our measurement units.  Marketing works well on teenage boys.

Ford had advertised their V8 as a “5.0” since they dropped it in the Fox Body. Chevy’s small-block for the Camaro and Corvette (and trucks) was always a “350.”  Mopar was beginning to call its 360 truck engine a “5.9” but there was lots of inertia and nostalgia for the 360 small block from the muscle era— and the Mopar crate motor.

Clearly. They are on timeline and tracking.

I'd sign up for a ride along on a dragon crew mission right now. And so would most of you. Not a single one of you would sign up for a ride on starliner.

Seems like Boeing needs to be shots on goal before anyone worries about goalkeeping duties.

What's the multiple on LMT or BA DoD funding vs. SpaceX individually and combined? Now stratify by space related funding. Now assess cost-effectiveness in the space-related segment.

Musk-hating hackers release names and addresses of every Tesla owner in the US with chilling symbol

I think what we’ve learned is that hackers are largely rightwing, mercenary, nihilistic, and/or libertarian. Do we finally have a antifa, pro-statist hackers roaming around? They want to restore order and stand up for the seniors getting their post offices closed.

Also ford’s 302 is not quite 5 liters, but chevy’s 305 is.

But they weren’t about to put 4.9 on the side of a mustang.

Both are short of 5 liters but are reasonably rounded to that value.

Elon casually endorsing the idea of turning the U.S. into a Central American dictatorship.  5d chess to stop migrants by making America equally as bad.

Also, imagine letting adult oppositional defiant disorder “libertarianism” break your brain so badly that you feel compelled to goaltend for the richest defense contractor in the world, who is also a high-ranking government official.

Very embarrassing. But many such cases. SAD!

Note how Ana and the Elon apologists are perfectly fine with this.

Now, they'll come in here and say "it's just a tweet, don't be so alarmist."  It's not "just a tweet."  It is a statement....by the unelected co-president of the United States....on a platform that he owns....that goes to literally tens of millions of people.....calling for imprisoning any judges who dare rule against the regime.

So remember, when they say "don't freak out, it's just a tweet," what they mean is "I agree with it, so I really don't want anyone taking any action based on this right now."

Interesting because it puts the focus on teSSla's tech vulnerabilities while muSSk is plucking the sensitive info of all americans for his ai vanity project. Seems likely the info came from a hack of the company. The site (which is definitely not***d o g e q u e (dot) st)*** doesn't list all individual owners though, just a few.

Purposely flipped over from Kimmel to Fallon to see Burr last night and he did NOT disappoint.

Secondary point -- I would kill to see that Glengarry Glen Ross with all those starts involved (Kieran Culkin, Odenkirk, Michael McKean).

That movie is worth your time simply for the Jessica Biel scenes.

Yup, I didn't even know there was a Broadway reboot.  That cast is amazing.

Ford had an existing 300 cu in straight 6 used in the F-150 through 1996, which was known as the 4.9 L engine from 1978. So another "4.9 L" engine could be a little confusing.

Re muSSk's promise to be on the next one: It's a game. He'll never do it.

Technically and philosophically, can there be a 'next one' if there hasn't been a first one?

NO.

Whoa...Swasticar received approval today from California to operate its driverless taxi!

Fine Print Terms And Conditions GIF by Satish Gaire

  1. Use current model year vehicle
  2. The only passengers must be Swasticar employees
  3. The vehicle must be driven at all times by a Swasticar employee; no driverless rides allowed.
  4. If things go well, they may eventually be allowed to drive members of the public around in a taxi with a Swasticar driver.

So, driverless taxis are approved, as long as they have a driver?
