Yet.

Just examples. I'm sure you deal with the government on a fairly regular basis.

There’s zero point to having any dialogue with you and several others. I’ve actually been pleasantly surprised by CR prior to the election, but you aren’t one of those surprises. So, I’ll reciprocate your Ignore, and will cease neg retribution for your two emotional outbursts.

Yet and won’t. I don’t deal with the government, ever, with the exception of bank examiners. I’m not an operator and thus never have to deal directly with the Commission but know plenty who do seamlessly if I ever was principal of an operating entity. Being denied a P-5 because I don’t believe in Israel’s role in the Rapture (or the Rapture in a literal sense at all), is a truly fantastical thought. You’re too smart for these histrionics.

It's amazing how many people think it could never happen to them. And they claim to be religious yet don't give a fuck about anyone else, just like their angry god intended.

I know Dunn personally. If he or any of that ilk brand me a heretic, I’ll laugh. This is what you do with these people, Elon included. WGAF.

If you actually know him personally, you'd know he spent millions to make sure that his religious agenda is forced upon the rest of the state whether we want it or not.  For fuck's sake, Dunn has not hidden his agenda at all. If you are going to claim to know him, at least spend 5 minutes reading up on what he says and believes and what he spends his money on.

It's like Musk spending hundreds of millions to make sure that the FAA, NASA, FTC, FCC, EPA, NTSB, etc. don't look too closely at his businesses because he'll be rubbing shoulders with the people who oversee those agencies/boards.  It's in plain fucking sight.

The only good thing about Musk is his interpersonal skills are lacking to say the least, and he probably won't last very long in D.C.

Yeah as long as you can keep Texas two stepping away from dried up wells and slowly poisoning the state with H2S while jamming Jesus into the classroom, I figure your oligarch friend will keep you in his good graces

You and your kid's rights to schooling that isn't full of religious propaganda.

Right now, in the nascent stages of this shit, it's non-denominational "Christianity" that's being pushed.  But "non-denominational" is such a lie.

Before too long, it will be biblical inerrancy and dispensationalism with a healthy dose of at least implied contempt for religious libruls like Methodists and Presbyterians, and let's not forget about the dirty kikes and mackerel-snappers.

And lets not forget about other institutions besides public education that are being infiltrated by Christian nationalists.  That shit is going to get ugly quick, and not just for moderate, possibly Christ-following Christians.

Slippery slope is a common argument, but the above is a real one.

I think all ya'll all are liberals.

Despite everything everyone is telling me - they are still JUST CARS. No matter the name, the rules are the same.

Tesla, especially top of the line is probably worse than most cars.  Tesla’s habit of slashing MSRP in the middle of a production year means that you are eating depreciation AND the new discount.  Drive off the lot, next week Tesla cuts the Model X by 10k and you’re just taking that in the wallet.

There is also still lingering consumer suspicion over EV batteries out of warranty as there are unknowns, but that’s not Tesla specific.

My understanding, NCM batteries vs. LFP batteries

If NCM batteries are punctured they turn into a fireball because of thermal runaway.  LFP batteries when punctured let off some smoke but are generally considered safe.

We should send the Tesla cars to Ukraine and they could catapult them into Russia via a giant trebuchet. Elon could then be finally providing a real benefit to humanity, providing giant fireballs for Ukraine to use against Russia.

I don't think you should add to either, since it's the bible.

But, I hear that there a denominations that'll let you do what you want. Something called TULIP is out there, and it's predestined he might still get in.

Where do you make your wife go for the week every month she’s unclean?

Also it’s almost sunset in Oregon. Today’s the Sabbath. You logging off all your devices and turning off the tv?

Eh, your statement is predicated on restoration nonsense that just results in circular reasoning. It's why Restorationism is a ridiculous concept.

If you really want to practice Christianity in the form closest to the early Christian church join the Orthodox church.

No, I’m pointing out your logical inconsistencies

Spoiler

Intro: I. In 2:23-28 Jesus’ disciples will be accused of breaking the Sabbath. II. In 3:1-12 Jesus will be accused of breaking the Sabbath. The Sabbath Question: I. (23) The scene and setting of this question is on the Sabbath, the disciples are picking the heads of grain. a. The scene is pretty innocuous; the disciples are just taking a few heads of grain and eating them while walking. II. (24) In v. 24 they direct their accusation to Jesus and accuse the disciples of unlawful behaviour. a. In the Law of Moses, the Jews were forbidden to work on the sabbath – this law is enshrined in the very 10 commandments themselves, i. “Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.” (Exodus 20:9-11) b. Farms did not have fences back then, and you make think that the first thing the Pharisees would accuse them of was stealing, but the law is specific that this is allowed (Read Deut. 23:24-25). i. This was part of the law of Moses’ system of welfare, if you are travelling you did not have petrol stations and fast food, so you were permitted to eat a little from the field of others, or pluck a few grapes. ii. As long as you weren’t actively harvesting their produce, this was considered acceptable. iii. (Brief Application, to the church and society). iv. From this verse, we can see that this was not really considered work but was rather just providing yourself with a meal. v. The Jews often feasted on the Sabbath, a practice that still goes on today. c. God was Serious about Sabbath Keeping: i. ‘Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. aEveryone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. Exodus 31:14. ii. The punishment for sabbath breaking was death. iii. d. The oral tradition of the Rabbi had expanded out what it meant to work on the Sabbath. III. In v. 25-26 (READ) Jesus offers a counter-consideration to their tradition (In the Matthew account, he declares the disciple’s innocent of breaking God’s law (Matt. 12:7). a. He refers to a story in the life of David given in 1 Samuel 21:1-15. b. In this story, David and his men are on the run from Saul and need to eat and so they take the Holy bread consecrated to God by the priests. c. Some see in this Jesus setting up a principle of it being okay to break the law if another need like hunger arise. i. This view is problematic, though, because, in the wilderness, Jesus refused His own miraculous power to satisfy his human hunger after forty days. ii. Jesus himself reiterates his commitment to the law (Matt. 5:18-19). d. The argument Jesus seems to be making is putting out their hypocrisy – instead of dealing with the Pharisees false tradition, he points out their own inconsistencies. i. In Pharisaic tradition they were very unwilling to condemn David for anything other than killing Uriah, and because they held him in such high regard they had justified David’s behaviour in 1 Sam. 20. ii. Jesus is saying it is hypocritical to justify David for literally taking the consecrated bread, and yet condemn the disciples for picking a little bit of grain. IV. (27) From here, Jesus makes the claim “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.” a. I.e., God gave the sabbath ultimately to benefit the people of Israel, not harm them. b. Therefore, the question is, “Does sustaining human life and well-being count as work on the sabbath?” No! i. Everyone breaths on the sabbath, why should they not eat? V. (28) Finally, Jesus appeals to his ultimate authority. a. Jesus uses the divine title of the Son of Man and then makes another claim that would have shocked the Pharisees; he is claiming to be the “Lord even of the Sabbath.” i. I.e., he is identifying himself as the ultimate giver of the Ten Commandments and the law of Moses: God. Jesus Heals on the Sabbath 3:1-6 I. Intro: Jesus healing on the sabbath is the fifth and last of the conflicts in this section which will lead to the Jews desire to kill him. II. (1-2) Jesus is back in the synagogue, probably the same one that he usually attends in Capernaum. a. After all of the conflicts now with the religious leaders, they are watching Jesus like a hawk. III. This shows their wicked hearts… a. They were not interested in the implications of a man who has a power to heal. b. Nor were they interested in his reasoning behind healing on the Sabbath. c. They were simply hoping to catch him in the act to make an accusation, and re-assert their authority. IV. Interestingly, no one complained when Jesus cast out a demon on the sabbath in probably the same Synagogue in Mark 1:21-28 (Read). V. (3) Jesus wastes no time; he singles out the man with the withered hand, and knowing their heart, he immediately asks the pharisees a question. a. “Is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath, to save a life or to kill.” i. Jesus is extending his principle that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath, to the question of other aspects of health – like healing. VI. (4-5) Jesus was filled with anger at their attitude, intentions, and stubbornness – he immediately healed the mans hand. a. By healing the man, Jesus was answering his own question, “Yes, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” VII. (6) The pharisees plot behind Jesus’ back to to destroy/I.e., kill him, with another group called the Herodians. VIII. WHO ARE THE HERODIANS? a. The Herodians are Jewish supporters of the Herodian dynasty who are of course in league with and under the thumb of Rome. b. Some even suggested that Herod was the messiah. c. Therefore, the Herodians were the opposite of the Pharisees, who were nationalists that hated the Romans. d. That they come together here to plot against Christ, shows that the Pharisees are even willing to compromise and unite with their enemies to take down Jesus. (This is a kind of theme in the gospel – all the kingdoms of the earth become one Kingdom, against Christ). 7-12 Jesus Withdraws and a Summary of his Ministry I. (7-8) Jesus, knowing that he was being plotted against, withdraws. However, the masses follow him. a. We can see from this list how far Jesus’ fame has spread, people have heard about it him as far south as Judea, and as far north as the Gentile territory of Tyre and Sidon (though they may have been Jews from those areas). II. (9-10) Much of the crowd was only interested in what Jesus could do for them, not how they could serve Jesus – this seen is a chaotic one. III. (11) The demon possessed in the crowd kept proclaiming “you are the Son of God” in their attempt to thwart Jesus’ objectives in his ministry. IV. (12) Jesus’ warned the demons to be quiet as he had done in the past – it can be presumed that thousands now know and expect who Jesus is, but that is far from understanding him.
