Off topic but how are insurance companies pricing comprehensive coverage for teslas in FSD mode? Taking your hands off the wheel would seem to me that you’re invalidating your coverage. There should be a reasonable expectation by the insurance companies that you are in fact controlling your vehicle.

as a non-Tesla driver, I don’t want my rates to go up covering this crap.

Insurance covers it like any other inattentive or negligent driver.  If you aren't monitoring your driver assist features and you get into a wreck, you are at fault just like failing to yield or follow at a proper distance and your future insurance rates will suffer.  People have been misusing and abusing driver assist features since 1958.  This is not a new problem for insurance companies.

A decent thoughtful person might respond: Apologies, Troph. I misunderstood and made a hasty assumption. I'm glad you're better and the ketamine helped.

Something tells me Anastasis will do otherwise.

Dell wouldn't have been shit without the leadership and guidance of Mort Topfer in particular, but also Lee Walker and Kevin Rollins. Now Michael the cunt thinks it was all him. Typical of him though. AND, countless people have saved DELL INC from Michael over the years by talking him out of some incredibly stupid bullshit. Now he thinks he's smarter than everyone else.

Sounds like a common theme in the tech world.

Quite a few insurance carriers flat out will not offer coverage for the Incel Camino.

That has little if anything to do with FSD, and is due the cost of repairs to the vehicle.

Should literally be their own class of insured.  All self driving, not just Tesla.

If you think the actuaries aren't already factoring this into the rates for vehicles with advanced driver assist features, I don't know what to tell you.

The sickening thing about Elon is how ubiquitous he’s made himself in all of our lives.  Back when Gates or Bezos or whoever was the richest person in the world, you could go days or weeks without thinking of them; you could use a Microsoft system without making a political-social statement.

Dipshit tweeted this today.  The lower Laguna Madre and the island, my favorite place in the world, and now Elon looms over it like the eye of Sauron. Disgusting.

OK, so which one is attractive and which one speaks in tongues, or prays, licks, whatever, and which one is crazy?

Musk made an unsolicited bid to buy OpenAI for $97.4 billion.  Altman (OpenAI) responded that he's offering $9.74B to buy Twitter. (Remember Elon paid $45B)

Of course, Musk only has to convince Trump to declare an AI national emergency, and confiscate control of Open AI.

And then the tech bros go to war on Musk.  He’s good for their business so they’ll happily throw money towards his boss but if Musk tries to take over their stuff, it’ll get interesting.

And I wouldn’t out it past Musk to try, since OpenAI is a bit of an obsession with him - this is the 2pm d or 3rd time he’s tried to buy or take over them.  He hates to be turned down like that.  He thinks everything can be bought, and it can be if the price is right, but this is one that got away.

depression, anxiety, PTSD, sleep disturbances, and other neurological symptoms are hallmarks of long covid. In fact they are pillars of the diagnosis.

This isn't really a great characterization. These are not the "hallmarks" of long covid. I appreciate that they may be the hallmarks of your experience, and you've attributed that experience to post-acute sequelae of COVID. But it just at minimum imprecise and at worst irresponsible to push ketamine in any broad sense as a treatment for long covid. There may be certain situations, e.g. individuals with significant history of mental health issues including suicidal ideation, recurring depression, cyclothymia, etc. that were present prior to COVID and recurred after COVID, where these interventions might make sense. But interventions like ketamine make most sense in the context of that mental health history, and not distinctly in the setting of a post-viral syndrome that is more commonly characterized by far more benign manifestation.

Look last post on that particular topic in this thread. If you want to dig into a discussion of long covid, I am certainly inclined to do so. But let's take that to another, more appropriate thread of your choosing.

Fuck off with your benign manifestation crap. 90% of people with severe and long Covid have significant mental health challenges as I described  (long Covid starts at 12 weeks and continues for some indefinitely). I’ve spent at least 200 hours researching this and have talked to doctors and researchers who know what the fuck they are talking about. Acute neurological symptoms and mental health conditions are ABSOLUTELY hallmarks of long Covid for many. For those of us who had or have that experience there is nothing benign about it. In fact my cardiologist said long covid is a lot of things but at its core it is one thing… misery. There is nothing benign  about mental health symptoms from severe / long covid.

after I got my lung function back, cardio vascular and severe neurological symptoms were exactly what I had. No one who knows shit suggested I had something other than long covid.

In fact where the researchers are going next is to identify subtypes of long Covid and the researcher I spent an entire day with talked up and down the symptoms including severe depression and anxiety and other neurological symptoms. One subtype is more like chronic fatigue, another is more like cardiovascular disease, another lung function concerns, another GI concerns, and then significant and debilitating neurological and mental health concerns. Of course they can overlap and include multiple subtypes.

Whether it’s primary or secondary is still up for debate but my symptoms started getting better when we treated them as primary symptoms. They encouraged my ketamine treatment. When I rejected SSRIs thankfully - they encouraged a whole host of supplements aimed at my brain and central nervous system.

Just stop. You aren’t an expert on Covid. Just like you aren’t an expert on transgender topics either.

Find the right thread for this discussion, I will be happy to reply in detail.

Quote

Mr. G is a very intellectual young man who was an infant prodigy. He has been concerned with general ideas since the age of ten and has one of those minds that can scintillatingly rationalize everything. I have known him for ten years and in that time have heard him enthusiastically explain Marx, social credit, technocracy, Keynesian economics, Chestertonian distributism, and everything else one can imagine. Mr. G will never be a Nazi, because he will never be anything. His brain operates quite apart from the rest of his apparatus. He will certainly be able, however, fully to explain and apologize for Nazism if it ever comes along. But Mr. G is always a “deviationist.” When he played with communism he was a Trotskyist; when he talked of Keynes it was to suggest improvement; Chesterton’s economic ideas were all right but he was too bound to Catholic philosophy. So we may be sure that Mr. G would be a Nazi with purse-lipped qualifications. He would certainly be purged.

Update: DOGE members Luke Farritor and Gavin Kilger are no longer “read only” users at the CFPB. They are now listed as domain administrators in the bureau’s system, meaning they can provide or revoke access as they see fit

Dems would fuck it up, for sure, if they somehow got the chance. But not to worry. There will be no more free elections, anyway. Not until well after this place burns.

I assume something like this will eventually happen. It's too big of a teet not to suck.

Just looking back on my own involvement in this space (Social Security payments) Musk Inc. has all the CSI on Comerica and Mastercard. These are not small fish, it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Keep in mind that Musk is treating the government like twitter - he invested over $250 million to get this access, and so he's taking over as much as he can, and just like with twitter, he brings in his crew who proceeds to do the same stupid shit with "show me your best code" etc. in order to try and pressure people to leave.

He believes that his $250 million bought him access to all of this data.  Wouldn't surprise me if gaining access to CFPB, etc. is just below trying to control the various agencies that could regulate or impact his companies.

I don't know if you remember, but when he took over twitter, he unplugged a rack of servers just to see if things functioned without them - that's his mindset, and I have a gut feeling that we will soon see him try and disconnect something or shut something completely off to see what's affected.

Regardless, the US government is now just a fucking startup for him and his incels to fuck around with.

Mar-a-Lago Face. It's a thing. Her, Laura Loomer, Matt Gaetz, Lara Trump, Kimberly Guilfoyle, etc. Definitely one of the weirder things to come out of MAGA and that's saying something.
