It's really unbelievable that mother nature would constantly find Florida with tropical storms and hurricanes without government intervention. I look at the map and think "how could a storm hit that?"

It started an hour late.  Seems like it sucks, but who knows how the stock will react.  No pedals or steering wheel.  Sounds like it's still not really that close to going to market.

Very on brand.

Besides the public speaking issues, his absolute and total bullshit when talking timelines is beyond painful. Esp considering the FSD and cyber truck rollouts, or lack there of.

The media pointed much of this out too. They noted that nothing Musk said was new beyond showing off the mock-ups. It’s more vaporware and jazz hands by Leon

Tesla's event delivered new vehicles and some timelines, but almost everything Musk said tonight has been said before. And investors might feel like the event was light on safety data.

Tesla needed to do five things on Thursday: show a robotaxi, discuss entry to service, discuss safety data, provide details of its business model, and offer an Easter Egg. Tesla hit three of those five.

As for the three it hit, there wasn't much any discussion about how Tesla would enter service or details about what regulatory hurdles the company faces and how it plans to overcome them. For the two that Tesla missed, the lack of any new safety or driving data was glaring.

So uh? They didn't even do a demo?

Not for the unwashed masses on streaming. Those at the event could ride in them, they had a number of them driving around the movie lot. But again as noted that was an extremely controlled environment. It looked like they even corded off the place where you could get in / get out. I wonder if they even let you drive to any destinations or if the routes were pre-determined?
