Who wants to tell him this isn't impressive?

Looks like a slow version of me taking my 95 Geo Tracker up Bumpgate Road in between Pipe Creek and San Geronimo. What a fun little gettabout.

In other news, I saw a Cybertruck trying to park next to my local CVS. Took em about 5 tries to get it lined up right. Kinda like War of the Worlds when the Martians are dying, and the machinery still twitches a little.

It’s picking up steam on the various social media platforms used by these people.  Lots of “holy shit, Musk is doing all of this to benefit his companies” and it’s glorious.  Musk’s response  of “fuck your face” and calling them crackheads to people questioning him is also glorious.

I can’t decide if he is not reading the room, or if he knows something these people don’t (direct line to Trump or whatever). He’s extremely confident that his arguments will win.

The joke's on us. He spent $44B on Twitter, then threw another $200M to turnip's campaign, then doubled his net worth and is the de facto leader of the "free" world.

Yeah we've done some shit almost as tough as that out at Big Bend, maybe tougher overall,  in our old stock fwd Toyota Sienna minivan. No problems. That thing was a fucking workhorse. We treated it like a truck, and it was all like "That's it? What else ya got?"

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/elon-musk-wants-weak-europe-says-germanys-vice-chancellor-2024-12-30/

The calls by Musk are not made out of ignorance, said Habeck, who is the chancellor candidate for the Greens party in German national elections due in February.

"It is logical and systematic. Musk is strengthening those who are weakening Europe. A weak Europe is in the interest of those for whom regulation is an inappropriate limitation of their power," added Habeck.
The German government on Monday accused Musk, who owns social media platform X and is CEO of Tesla (TSLA.O), opens new tab and SpaceX, of trying to influence the upcoming election with a guest opinion piece for the Welt am Sonntag newspaper.

Musk, the world's richest person, spent more than $250 million to help Trump get elected and has been tasked by Trump to prune the federal budget as a special adviser.
Musk endorsed the AfD as Germany's last hope in the piece that prompted the commentary editor to resign in protest, praising the anti-establishment, anti-immigrant party's approach to regulation, taxes and market deregulation.

Elon Musk Assumes New X Identity Linked to White Supremacists
The world’s richest man changed his name and profile picture on X to a Pepe the Frog in a gladiator costume.

The days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve can be a disorienting time for many. Including, apparently, the world’s richest man.

In between sharing photos of furry animals, bragging about the size of his rocket and dunking on the very concept of taxation, Elon Musk took a moment to change his username and profile picture on the social media platform X to an alt-right meme beloved by white-supremacist trolls.

Musk’s new moniker, Kekius Maximus, is a meme that combines Pepe the Frog with the Maximus character from the movie Gladiator. The alt-right has embraced Pepe as the “protector god” of a satirical religion dedicated to chaos and anti-political correctness, according to research by the Southern Poverty Law Center (a group despised by Musk and others.)

By using something as farcical as a frog deity meme, right-wing trolls can spread their ideas without having to address the “vicious core of white male nationalism they embrace,” according to the SPLC.

Screenshot/X/Elon Musk

As with all things Musk, it’s not clear whether his new alter ego is just a way to troll anyone who disagrees with him or whether there’s the potential for self-enrichment.

On Monday, MAGA’s civil war over H-1B visas reignited a debate about whether Musk has a burner account on X that he uses to post fawning interactions with his official account–a practice know as “sock-puppeting.” For the past year, the Adrian Dittmann account has offered such a passionate defense of Musk—and used such a similar rhetorical style—that users have wondered if they are one and the same.

That speculation came to a head during the H-1B visa debate, as internet sleuths dug back into Dittmann’s old posts for clues.

Musk’s new Kekius Maximus identity could just be a way to troll users who are convinced Musk has a burner account, with the added benefit of offending anyone who knows that Pepe is associated with SPLC-designated hate groups.

On the other hand, Kekius Maximus is also the name of a “meme coin,” or a type of cryptocurrency named for internet memes. Meme coins typically aren’t worth as much as their less satirical counterparts, but president-elect Donald Trump’s “First Buddy” is such a fan of meme coins that he named his Department of Government Efficiency—which is really just an advisory panel—after one.

The acronym DOGE is a nod to dogecoin, a cryptocurrency originally created in 2013 as a joke about the wildly speculative nature of crypto. Named for “doge,” a meme featuring a Japanese shiba inu dog, dogecoin has spawned a whole category of “dog coins.”

Within hours of the new name, the value of the Kekius Maximus meme coin had surged by more than 500 percent.

Last year, investors accused Musk and his company Tesla of insider trading for allegedly using his social media platform to manipulate the value of dogecoin, The Guardian reported.

Before he rebranded the platform as X, he replaced Twitter’s blue bird logo with dogecoin’s shiba inu logo, leading the coin’s price to jump by 30 percent, The Guardian reported. Musk then allegedly sold about $124 million of the currency, according to an insider trading suit filed by investors.

he case was dismissed in August because investors can’t make an insider trading case based on tweets that are “aspirational and puffery,” the judge ruled.

So maybe Musk changed his name to a frog in a gladiator costume because—in the great American tradition—he’s had a little too much sugar, butter and spiked eggnog and can’t remember what day it is.

Maybe he’s trying to troll X users and the media.

Or maybe he has some Kekius Maximus currency he’s looking to sell at a good price, in a totally non-insider trading kind of way, of course.

Seriously, this. I parked next to one yesterday at Costco on William Cannon, so I took a good look at it before going in. All I kept thinking about was how much dumbassery combined with abject dorkdom and Musk fanboiism would be required to make a grownup think this thing was cool and that paying way too much money for it would be a good idea.

Jeff Bezos basically bought Aspen for a weekend to get married to a hot woman, afterwards he'll go back to his mega yacht.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk spends his days on Twitter getting high fives from guys living in their mothers basements because he changed his avatar to a racist frog.

Find one remotely positive comment I have made about Cybertruck or Elon Musk himself.

I’ll wait.

The question is who the post of CT’s “amazingness” was for.  You being the biggest TSLA fuccboi on the site are the exact target audience.  You have spent years bragging about TSLA’s amazing vehicles, defending their rare ability to mow down pedestrians, and justifying paying for a FSD experience that has never come close to living up to the hype.

So, yes… YOU are the content’s target demographic.

News to me.  My algos don’t feed me shit about FSD, Tesla, TSLA, or CT.  I get Tesla-related content from two YT channels I follow for FSD software demos/news, and I am a member of a Tesla Model 3 group on FB.   Other than that, I see near zero Tesla-related content on FB, X (which I use for sports follows), IG, or TikTok.

So if I am the target demo for the CT stuff and Elon fart huffing, someone is failing miserably.

Or maybe you can fuck right off with lumping me in with the general Elon-stans.

I like my Model 3 and am generally impressed with the state of Tesla’s FSD capability.  My support goes no further than that.

gene wilder good day sir GIF

These are the actions of someone who has no one who cares about him, just sycophants and hangers on.  I need to be clear, I don’t feel bad about that because it’s his own fault.

Elon’s new avatar is mocking all the Pepe frog racist MAGA dudes who helped Trump get elected by pushing America First.

The Pepe guys feel betrayed by Elon for promoting cheaper H1-B labor at the expense of the American workers, particularly white males.

Steve Bannon and Laura Loomer are part of this opposition to Elon’s H1-B stance. They are speaking loudly against Elon for his censorship of Twitter accounts opposing H1-B workers. The belief Twitter is a Mecca of free speech has been completely destroyed in Pepe guys once loyal to Elon.

Elon has tried to smear the MAGA Pepe opposition by calling them the “woke right.” This means that being against H1-B workers is on par with acting like the “woke left” who use DEI. Turning away the “best and brightest” H1-B workers for the sake of filling the positions with American workers is essentially a form of DEI because the spot is not being reserved for the best candidate. The Pepe bros are going apocalyptic about Elon mocking them the exact same way they mock women and minorities. There is nothing they can do about it but complain on the platform owned by Elon.

While it’s hilarious that we get to sit back and watch, Leon should probably watch who he is mocking - some of these people are unhinged, to say the least.  Plus, regardless of what Trump thinks about Musk, if at some point he thinks Musk is dragging him down in any way, he will discard him.  Hell, I’m surprised he’s lasted this long with all of the President Musk memes.
