I don't get that streamers don't seem to even try to build their own shows that people would want to rewatch over and over.  When you kill every show after 3 or 4 ten episode seasons, the rewatchability just isn't going to be there.  And yet based on what they're willing to pay for them, it seems like library shows with 200+ episodes are muck stickier for keeping subscribers on the hook.

I disagree.

I have watched season 1 of True Detective probably 6 times now. I have watched Breaking Bad at least that many times as well. I think a really great show is a really great show and re-watchable. Whether it’s 1 or 10 seasons.

I never get the rewatching of any shows other than funny movies or shows really.  I always remember everything happening so for non comedies I just don’t find it enjoyable more then a couple times.  I wish I did actually but I get bored too easy.

I have Hulu because it comes with Spotify. By far the most I've got from Hulu, just about the only use, is their Fx original programming. New seasons are upcoming for Snowfall, Better Things and Atlanta.

Do yourself a favor and start watching The Great.

I like to catch details missed during the first pass. Could be a look/reaction on an actors face, or the filming location/set. I don’t think great photography, cinematography or directing can be truly appreciated with only one viewing. I can’t imagine having only watched The Godfather once and thinking “cool, don’t need to see that again”.

their relationship with fx beats most streaming libraries on its own.

You season 3

What an absolute trainwreck. This show went from being ho-hum season 1, to awesome season 2, to total shit season 3.

It's like the writers don't even know their own characters and motivations. Love Quinn is completely unrecognizable from the previous season. They ruined a great character going for cheap plot twists instead.

Netflix script writing is probably a lot more like Silicon Valley Pied Piper than Scorcesi's process.

We rewatch Justified beginning to end once a year. I’ve seen The Godfathet, Good Fellas, Casino, Dazed and Confused, True Lies, Deadwood, The Sopranos, at least a dozen times. I’ve watched Young Frankenstein at least 100 times.

Sean Payton flick had so much promise, even with Kevin James. But Adam Sandler had to go full Adam Sandler and stupid it up. If you know anything about Springtown, there would NOT be an alpha AA coaching their alpha AA LL team. Neither exist. Springtown is about as Mrs. Baird's country as you get.

Tin Star on Prime.  Watched the first season episode one and will keep watching.  Tim Roth has been a favorite of mine and he does a good job in this role.

It’s OK.   But I’ll watch Kristen Bell in anything.

Bugged the shit out of me. Constantly meanders between a spoof and a serious drama. My girlfriend doesn't understand US spoof comedies and thinks the whole series was just a dark drama.

Rust Cohle and Walter White are two of the most memorable characters ever.

I’m not sure the show knew what it wanted to be… yes, the title itself tips it’s a joke, but it wasn’t very funny except for some laugh out loud bad acting (and I’m not convinced all of it was supposed to be intentional). There was even an article quoting Bell on the bad acting, but I’m not sure that wasn’t just her getting out ahead of the criticism.

No spoilers, but there are flights in and out of reality, so you’re not sure when you as the viewer are being gaslighted.

It’s an easy watch, so 5/10. Dead To Me did dark suburban humor a 100 times better, I hope it returns soon.

Did not expect the fairly graphic Kristen Bell sex scene in Ep. 5.

Same.

3 episodes in and I'd agree it's just OK.  I laughed at the take your daughter to work day at the serial killer/cannibal wing of the prison.

It does neither the spoof nor the serious drama competently. You have to be damn clever to make such a thing work. Elite clever. I had to bail after watching the first four episodes with my beloved.

This must have got made based on the pitch which must have got Bell attached. It turned out shit even with her formidable talent.

My wife and daughter watch that show. I find it insufferable.

I actually started watching it last week. Pretty good imo. Like hard knocks or last chance u but for cheerleading. My sister (no pics) cheered in high school so I already knew how intense it was. Think she ended her career with 2 or 3 concussions.

I finished this and it got better as a dumb comedy.  The first half of the last episode had me laughing.

Wife and I started this last night. Watched the first four episodes. They're only 25-30 mins each so it's an easy, breezy watch. Think we'll probably finish it up tonight. It's a-ight.

Graphic for whom? Hallmark Channel?

Maybe not graphic, but you probably wouldn’t want to watch it with your Mom or your kids.  It was far more than I ever expected to see from Anna from Frozen/ Veronica Mars.

This Kristen Bell show with the really long name was very entertaining, really funny. I can't believe I'm actually saying this but it could have used a slightly heavier hand in the comedy department. Most other shows are too heavy handed. This one was slightly too subtle. I don't mean like "Scary Movie" level comedy - which is way over the top and not funny. I mean like in Don't Look Up which had a perfect comedic tone. Still, I liked it a lot.

Murderland. Will Arnett is a homicide detective paired with a celeb trainee partner, like Conan OBrian or Marshawn Lynch, who has no script and has to improv a solution to a murder. You gotta pay attention to get the clues among all the bits.

I'm digging the old Seinfeld episodes.  I was too busy working and chasing pussy when it had it's run, so I only caught an episode here and there.

What I've learned is Larry David is a goddamn genius.  Between this and Curbed, I'm astounded by his bottomless amount of creativity.  He comes up with so many ridiculous, and hilarious, scenarios that brush up against being unbelievable, yet never seem to cross the line.

Respeck.

None of his shit crosses a line for me.  I like to think I don't have one when it comes to comedy, but I imagine a lot of his Curb stuff is too much for some people.

Got sucked into Money Heist when I was in Central America last month. It’s a Spanish series and have to do subtitles but some damn good story telling. Still finishing the most recent season but look forward to starting from the beginning after this. First episode was in 2017.
