They give paragraph plus write ups for the top 50, Here are the write ups, I’ll post the list after. Missed Coffey too.

33. Henry Bolte (18.9), RF, Palo Alto HS (CA), Texas commit

Bolte has a limited summer track record. His spring performance has teams wondering what the hit tool is, but the raw power may be a 70, and the speed is a 60, so the upside is huge.

75. Cutter Coffey (18.0), 3B, Liberty HS (CA), Texas commit

A known pitcher from the summer, Coffey has emerged in the second-to-third round range as a shortstop who likely slides to third, but with plus potential power.

Yeah, Texas is going to lose a few players from the current roster. MLB.com also has Ardoin in the top 150.

I missed Bolte and Coffey in the MLB.com rankings because I was looking at an old list. They have Bolte #35 and Coffey at #98.

So it's looking like Bolte, Coffey and Flores will be draft risks from this current class.

ESPN has Melendez at #144 and MLB.com doesn't have him in the top 150.

I'm surprised he isn't considered a better prospect than that. Melendez has been much better at 1B than anyone could have anticipated and he can obviously hit.

Just get me pitchers who throw strikes. 1-0, 2-0 every damn AB is driving me bonkers.
Not to mention hitters watching strike 1 down the middle, fouling off strike 2, then either watching strike 3 or chasing a slider 2 foot outside.

Right-handed first basemen don't get tons of love from scouts.  You have to have screaming tools and numbers to get drafted high.  Think Spencer Torkelson and Andrew Vaughn.

Im curious.... what has Jace Jung getting so much draft love?????

Would he do both here? (Pitch and Catch)

His future is definitely on the mound in my opinion, but he could probably play both ways or DH when he’s not pitching.

I only know this from the broadcast, but players at AF commit to service if they stay for their 3rd+ year. While pros would still be an option, they would need a release and then come back and serve. So they hinted at the expectation he would hit the portal after the season.

Skenes wouldn't catch for us, but he'd pitch and situationally DH.

Ardoin is draft eligible so there’s no guarantee that he comes back. This could be a great option to bridge us till the next guy is ready.

I don't follow baseball very much but I have an NIL question related to it. How much money do these later round guys get to sign and play in the minors? Is there any chance that NIL baseball money could be enough to sway these guys to stay in college (or go to college)?

I'm not saying he isn't a good catcher,  but he doesn't need to be playing catcher.  P/1B/ DH.

Each MLB teams gets a pool of money to spread amongst each of their picks in the first 10 rounds (draft is 20 rounds total). If they go past their pool amount, there are penalties. A player drafted outside the top 10 rounds can sign for a maximum signing bonus of $100,000 without penalty. If a team signs a player they drafted outside of round 10 to a signing bonus over $100,000, the overage counts against they pool they get for their top 10 picks.

So oftentimes, a team will select a few college seniors with zero leverage in the top 10 rounds because you sign those guys for dirt cheap ($10 or 20k). You can then use those savings for other draft picks, including guys outside the top 10 rounds.

So the short answer is NIL could probably sway some guys, but there are probably very few college (or high school) players going outside the top 10 rounds who are worth 6-figures in NIL money. Melendez is a good example of NIL helping him return, but I also don't think MLB teams were tripping over themselves last year trying to sign a guy who they hadn't seen play the field.

We are signing a pretty good incoming freshman catcher (Ryan Galvin from Sinton), but we will definitely need to add someone from the portal or juco ranks. Don't think Kimble Schuessler is an everyday catcher at this level.

To follow up on this - the vast majority of MLB prospects would make more money working a 12 dollar an hour job than as prospects.  Here are the minimum monthly salaries by level (most prospects make the min).

(MLB negotiated raises across the board that went into effect in 2021 - these are the new salaries)

Rookie-ball:  $1200

A ball:  $2000

AA ball:  $2400

AAA ball: $2800

Correct. Almost all guys are living off their signing bonus.

I think what all this means is that you could NIL an entire baseball team of potential minor leaguers for about the cost of an aggie defensive lineman (Dindy).

You may be right, but I would not discount Kimble S.

And you know that if he is from Sinton, he knows how to stay focused.

If his baseball future lies more in pitching than hitting, as seems apparent, going from 6000 feet above sea level to 500 could be a big plus...especially in a park like the Disch.

Texas will lose 2 starters.

A Witt, Gordon, and Skenes rotation would be filthy. I think Skenes is slightly overrated as he struggled against P5 competition but he's still a great option as a Saturday or Sunday starter.

I have no doubt he can hit even though he struggled in the regional.
