I predict he'll get it from both sides. The right for anything about the border and Ukraine, the left for Gaza.

Most people won’t watch this, and they’ll rely on the news outlet if their choice to tell them how it went.

Well next time they shouldn't do this when Masters of the Air drops.  I'm def watching that over the SOTU.

Yeah, it doesn’t matter. He could knock it out of the park and it will still be that he is “old” “senile” “sounds awful” “not important” “doesn’t change anything”

People see and hear what they want. Imma the aggy out front just told you that.

Yep. He can't win the election tonight. At best he can get people to think "Hm, maybe not as bad as I thought" before they tune out again for several months; but he can absolutely lose the election tonight with a couple missteps that get inordinate amounts of attention and reinforce that narrative.

That's going to happen no matter what he does tonight.

But it won't cost him the election. That would be our FUBAR system for choosing a president.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if most Americans don't realize there's a presidential election this fall.

Any nonsense out of her should be met with a "Will you shut up, woman?"

Pretty much what he did last year when they started howling when he claimed they wanted to cut social security. "Good, I'm glad we all agree, social security is off the table."

Saw a poll that said 45% of Americans don't know anything at all about Trump's legal issues.

When Trump wins, orders the military to seize voting boxes, and pardons insurrectionists (fuck anybody's legal definition quibbles), Wolf and the boys and girls will raise the pertinent question, "Is this going to hurt Trump in the polls?"

Won’t matter bc the media will be shut down or heavily censored. You can’t even ask those questions in Trump’s America once they get what they want into place

For some reason, I'm just not buying this.

You damn simpletons.  No, it doesn’t move the needle but maybe 1% point either way.  We’re going to watch to see if Mike Johnson checks his phone to confirm to his son that he’s not watching porn on the most important moment in his political career.  You know that thing that has always happened in America, House Speaker/state of the union nudity well checks?

You don’t have to but I’m believing what they’re saying and how they’re saying it. Trump in a second term is going to be totally unaccountable to voters. It’s not going to be pretty

Trump's first term and the time since has pretty much proven that you can let the press publish whatever they want and it won't have much impact. "Fake news" are two words that took truth and information out of the equation for a large swath ot the electorate.

Hell, he can probably count on stochastic terrorism to further destroy the press. And you. And me. And certainly anybody without my Northern European skin color.

But I don't see them being able to censor the national press.

No.

I don't think they're competent enough to pull off something as massive as censoring the national press.

"I don't think they're competent enough to [insert action item]..." is basically the tag line for MAGA, yet here we are.

I've read the playbook (Mein Kampf), and I'm done underestimating those fascists.

That was the entire run up to 2016.

"He doesn't mean it"

"DC won't let him do that"

"That's impossible to do, he's just saying these things to get elected"

"There's enough things stopping that from happening"

They've had 4 fucking years to figure it out.  Stephen Miller hasn't just been sitting around with his thumb up his ass.

He played them beautifully last year.

There’d damn well better be a unanimous round of applause for Sweden’s admission to NATO tonight.

If Dark Brandon doesn't mention that the market hit a new all-time high today, it's hopeless.

The Shrieking 3 Toed Baboon has already confirmed she’s gonna do what she wants tonight, as House Leadership is discouraging the dimwits from booing and heckling

If she got kicked out for screaming at the president during the SOTU, that would really help her with her base.

Going to guess they don’t want the optics of them screaming and booing the old man. Might garner some sympathy approval bump and continue to tank the House GOP’s numbers

It won’t hurt her. But could hurt others

If his speechwriting team doesn't have him prepped with a handful of brutal responses to MTG heckling, they aren't doing their jobs.
