Miller was Pierce’s right hand guy. He was one of the few in the circle of trust and has been with him for over a decade.

Was more a culture guy more than anything specifically with hitting or fielding or whatever.

LBJ had an underwhelming outing and Texas might get out of this game with a W and using just Whitehead and another BP arm like Dre. Very nice for the next two days.

He's still listed on TexasSports as on the coaching staff.

Rather go get a pitching coach. TT can influence plenty in his role

There will never be another pitching coach here. No one is coming after how the last two guys were treated and let go. They would be a fool to take that job. Pierce had been the de facto pitching coach for 8 seasons.

I gotta think if there was someone who could do the job and recruit there would be fewer issues. Problem is we’ve had one or the other. And DP is apparently an ass to work for but what big time college baseball coach isn’t?

Chris Gordon, who was the pitching coach at Duke previously, is on staff in an off-field role and my understanding is he is pretty involved day to day. Does a lot of work behind the scenes.

Thought last year, the pitching coach didn’t seem to make mound visits when needed too often.  Perhaps this was due being too many cooks in the kitchen.

I’ve thought this for a while, but why as a pitcher would you ever want to play for Tech. It’s a launching pad in thin air.

Mason Molina is the best one they’ve had in 5 years and even he said deuces and went to Arkansas.
