Let’s talk about Yainer Diaz.

Wulaw has told everyone that will listen, like 4 people, that Yainer is the second coming of the Contreras brothers.

Yainer currently has a .636 OPS, 83 OPS+, -.1 bWAR.

You fucker!

Rib soreness this time.

Quote

It’ll be Bryant’s second IL stint of 2024 and the seventh of the first two and a half seasons on his $182MM free agent deal. The former MVP was plagued by left foot injuries in 2022-23. He lost a month of this year to a lower back strain. This most recent injury occurred over the weekend as he caught a foul ball up against the wall.

Around the injury absences, Bryant has struggled to make an impact. He’s hitting .186/.307/.279 in 101 plate appearances this year. He has appeared in 146 games and tallied 617 trips to the plate in a Rockies uniform. In what essentially amounts to one full season’s worth of games, he has a .247/.331/.385 line in MLB’s most favorable hitter’s park. Bryant spent most of his defensive work in the corner outfield between 2022-23. The Rockies moved him primarily to first base this season in an effort to keep him healthy.

Julio vs Miller.

I’m not sure there have been many ABs better than this one so far this year.

Nothing like 102.5 coming in, 103.3 going out

(A’s still got the win 2-1… mariners offense is atrocious)

Shohei dead center makes it 7-2.

I just saw this highlight. Skenes reaction says it all. He's never seen someone put that pitch in the bleachers.

It sounds like Soto will be fine and has been playing through the pain. Looks like he is just going to pinch hit this weekend. I wanted to go watch a game in this series with LA and my boss at work even offered me his two season tickets to one game if I wanted to go. I will probably wait to take him up on his offer for a Mets or Red Sox series when Soto is back. I guess we get to see if the Yanks can fill the void this weekend and beat Ohtani and the Dodgers without him.

That, my friends, is podcast-worthy.

I love you

it is hard to believe they pay guys 10K to do that, no one that watches a baseball game gives a shit.  give the 10K to a charity or something for gods sakes.

Mets-Phillies in London.  Is this the same stadium where there were like 12 HRs per game last time?

MLB juices the balls badly for any international games. Always bet the over. The Yankees beat the Red Sox 17-13 & 12-8 when they played there a few years ago.
