Gaspy with the Jimmy Jack! 4-0

He pimped that bomb immediately. Turned and looked at the dugout with contact and threw the bat low and hard. Knew he crushed it.

33-pitch first for BU's starter.

Not even watching the ball off the bat is a baller move.

Gotta hand it to Ace. He looked way off at the beginning of the year, we speculated he was hurt, and he didn't really pitch much thereafter. Then, he gets inserted basically as an innings burner against Tech and pitches insanely well. Repeat that type of performance a couple times, and now he's the Saturday guy. The movement on his pitches and his command has been great, overall. Just needs to keep the ball down.

He is playing through something that is hurting his velo. No idea on the specifics but it is apparently something that can be fixed in the offseason.

Coach Mitch is one large human

Great coach, but is stuck at one of the biggest rebuilds in P5 baseball. Zero NIL. Lost their best hitter from last year to the portal.

Steve Rodriguez basically ran that thing into the ground before he was fired.

Galvan got in place to apply the tag at the very last second!

I wonder how many base runners slow up their stride just a smidge when they see the catcher disengaged like Galvan was. I know he does that intentionally to lull the runner into a false sense of security.

I’d rather let him put the ball in play instead of walking everybody like the rest of the starters and bullpen.

You say that now but they are not just putting the ball in play, they are putting the ball in play with authority.

Pitching to contact doesn’t work so well when the contact is in the gaps.

I pity the poor team that employs him now, and would suggest the highest level of scrutiny on the guy that hired him

If it was all in the gaps they’d be up 10 runs. You give up an occassional gapper to get the rest. Or we could walk everybody and hit a gapper as well.
