Watching the KU game. Where has this Tramon Mark been all year?

You mean UK.

I was confused for a second.

Part of that game had to do with the "defense" that UK was rolling out at the guard spot.

New bracketology has us up to a 9 seed, against 8 Creighton. Winner gets slaughtered by Duke

do not want any part of creighton and their size. losing to them would be a mercy killing, because duke would beat us like red headed step children.

That's the funny thing about where we're at right now.

A 7 or 10 is much better than 8 or 9. Shoot an 11 is probably best if you can't get to a 6.

The Arkansas game is going to be like a tourney game. Whoever loses very well may miss the tourney.

I said that Vandy was the must win, then they beat Kentucky to make up for it but the crater they left in SoCar did them in.

I can't see them doing better than 2-2 here.  I find it hard to believe this team is in at 7-11 but apparently the bubble is soft, SEC good, and the SEC tournament games are a wildcard.

I just don’t think we miss the tournament even at 7-11, which is what I think we will be at the end of the season. The SEC is too strong of a conference.

if we are left out of the tourney field, not only should we decline an invite to the NIT, but if we did accept an invite to the NIT then i would expect Tre to sit that out and prepare for the draft, which is all the more reason to decline in the first place.

Being 7-11 in the SEC and the only conference win for South Carolina would be pretty ugly.

Even more so because Texas got blown out by the Gamecocks.

Didn't South Carolina win over the weekend?

So if we beat blOU next weekend, how many SEC tourney wins do we need to make it to the NCAA tournament? I'm guessing at least one, probably need two to feel completely safe.

That was a Q1 win tonight and a lot of talking heads had us first four out-ish before tonight.

W over OU and an L in the first round of the conference tourney and Texas has a decent shot.

W over OU and a win in the conference tourney Texas should be in.

And yet.., it’s uglier.

How does the conference's leading scorer end up 2nd team?

Because he was up against Broome, Clayton Jr., Sears, Taylor IV and Zeigler.  Stiff competition.

what about Lanier? did he not make 1st team all league? he just made the list for the final 15 for the wooden award. this league is so talent rich and deep that it wouldn’t even surprise me to see a guy be 2nd team all sec and 2nd team all american.

Man, I give Tre MORE credit for fighting through the shitshow that was his team to win the conference scoring title.  It's not like he's a one-dimensional player, either.

Tell your old man to drag Walton & Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes.
