His best future would be playing a 2012 Russell Westbrook style of PG where he can use his athleticism to get to the rim, rebound from the guard position, and just out energy everybody.

I mean yeah that would be cool if he turns into a top 10 player in the NBA 😂

He doesn't have Westbrook's ball skills or vision. I think he's a little bigger/longer though, isn't he?

Westbrook is a top ten player?

God no not any more. By 2012/2013 he was knocking on that door and probably was from '13 to '18ish.

(granted he never had any playoff success without Durant)

Either way - Weaver doing anything to elicit Westbrook comparisons means he's doing something right. Unless it's bricking 3s or turning the ball over 5 times a game.

Weaver is about exactly Westbrook's size from when he was at UCLA. Their college stats aren't hugely different either.  That said, I appreciate that Weaver will never be in the same universe as Westbrook. I'm just saying that he could play a similar style of basketball.  The main difference is Westbrook's handles are about 10x as good as Weaver's.  Westbrook could drive through traffic at full speed and go up and dunk on people.  Weaver always seems slightly out of control (even though he really doesn't turn the ball over much).

When will Mark make his debut?

Yes

I learned during football season that you don’t need to have espn+ to watch the horns football game on sec+ IF you have Uverse. I’m wondering whether it will be the same tonight, since the game is on sec+ and not espn+.

Correct. It’s being broadcast both ways, so you can watch either via an ESPN+ subscription or a TV provider that has SECN access

Opponent sucking aside, Shedrick does look and move much better than last year. We will see if that matters when the games get tough.

This. He looks noticeably healthy

I hate being that guy to bitch about a game when we're blowing a team out, but like why the hell have we only gone 9 deep so far. We were up like 30 in the half, feel like a bunch of guys could have gotten game experience.

Probably because we have a bunch of new players in their 3rd game with the team who are still learning to play together.  Add in injuries as well.  Blowouts matter so you don’t want walk ons turning a 50 point game into a 25 point win.
