I still don’t believe that we pass the “eye test”.  I guess they have lost all credibility with me. I’ve been to every home game and I just don’t have much faith in them doing much. Missouri played terrible the night we beat them and so did A&M in the second half. LSU is not good and we did what we were supposed to do. Not a huge margin of error for this team against any team with a pulse.

We were not supposed to beat LSU by 30 points. Don't be ridiculous.

That was a bad shooting night. It happens. We missed so many wide open 3s. And we simply aren't good enough to still win when we play like that.

Here is our updated probability distribution for conference play.  That loss hurt quite a bit.

The fact that we weren’t supposed to have a larger margin against a shitty team is kind of my point.

Texas beat LSU by more than any other team they have faced this year - including No. 1 Auburn, who beat them by 13 four days before our the Texas game.

on the one hand playing at Vanderbilt is always tough, in no small part because your coach is so far away from you that you can’t hear him when you’re on the floor. on the other hand Rodney Terry and his staff don’t seem to do any in-game coaching so it might be a moot point anyway.

This loss hurt because it’s not out of the realm of possibility that we also lose the next 5 as well.

If we lose the next 5, the results of last nights game are meaningless. this team needs to find its fucking balls. They have more talent than what they showed the first 30 minutes last night.

this team has top 25/sweet 16 talent. we have a better roster than texas a&m, missouri, ole miss, vanderbilt, and mississippi state, and our roster is probably equal to if not better than tennessee’s roster. and yet:

we’re 11th in offense and 10th in defense in the league. that’s been the hardest part for me this year. i’m watching a group of guys who essentially always play at a level that is lesser than the sum of its parts. so many coaches in this league doing less with more.
