Shoot, so do I (want more returns).

Return TDs are very exciting and they've been down across the board since player safety (which is a good thing) has become a big focus. Hopefully returns will be incentivized to a greater extent.

Now, if the defense could just be allowed to touch the QB again, that'd be great too.

I think they should do away with tee's and holders, all kickoffs, field goals, and extra points should be drop kicks like the old days.

We should also outlaw the forward pass…

I never understood why they’d wouldn’t allow the kicking team to recover short kicks in the new setup so “surprise onsides” are still part of the game. If a kicker has to pop it right over the wall of return team players, the kicking team doesn’t have that much separation to create violent collisions (since this was all allegedly in the name of player safety).

No one’s complaining about the forward pass. They moved the pat back because it was too automatic (and still is for the most part) and are still complaining that kickoffs are soaring into the stands. I think the drop kick is cool and requires more skill and would be more interesting.

The NFL doesn’t care about player safety. I doubt the NFLPA does either. They do care about making money and protecting investments.

Go to "singles". Any kick (including punts) that doesn't get brought out of EZ is a point for kicking team. Kick goes out of the EZ, no point, receiver gets the ball on the 20. Kicking team can't initiate possession but can "down" ball in the EZ for a point.

No kidding.  Unless they change the rule somehow we will never get a play as spectacular as this ever again:
