Wat

The M's struck out 14 fucking times last night. Imagine them batting against Logan or Bryce. We'd be looking at 20+ K's.

Edit to add: I don't know why I thought of that, I was just pissed off and depressed watching them last night.

The Mariners’ roster got a major shakeup today, with the club announcing a huge slate of moves. First baseman Ty France was designated for assignment while shortstop J.P. Crawford and outfielder Julio Rodríguez each landed on the 10-day injured list. Crawford has a right hand fracture while Rodríguez has a right high ankle sprain. In corresponding moves, the club recalled infielders Tyler Locklear, Leo Rivas and outfielder Cade Marlowe.

"The Mariners dealt prospects Aidan Smith and Brody Hopkins, along with a player to be named later, to the Rays in exchange for Arozarena."

"Seattle outfielders are hitting a collective .239/.301/.379 this season. "

I'm pretty sure they mean if you add up the averages of the outfielders, it's .239.

Ok.  I don't know what to think of anything anymore.

We've acquired INF Justin Turner and cash considerations from the Blue Jays in exchange for minor league OF RJ Schreck. Since June 1, the 2x All-Star is batting .301 with a .401 OBP and .800 OPS.

I would ask that spy guy, but he turned into a fuckhead, so I blocked him.  Anyhoo, hope it gets us more runs.

Mario Mendoza, in his two seasons with the Mariners, hit .218. The Mariners, as a team, are currently hitting .217 for the season.

And yet it is August and we are tied for the division lead. Weird season.
