Why is Singleton even in the Majors at this point?

He was 2/4 today. 10% of the season.

In NFL terms, this is Q3 of game 2.

In NBA terms it's like November.

Why make any judgement this early?

Altuve is right, this game was a blueprint for the plan going forward. If they can score 7 runs in the 7th every game, they should be able to win 90+ by the end of the season. I really like that plan and hope they continue it.

They officially ended my in person MMP losing streak today at 7.   Good win boys.

Bro, what?

How long was this 7 loss thing?

Last game I went to was Farmer's no hitter, so I need to get in there.

We are 3-1 when I get to watch on TV. Was out of town for the Yankee sweep and the Royals sweep. I’m going out of town Tue-Thursday- prepare your bets accordingly.

Duly noted

4 ALCS 3 of the Yankees series.   I wouldn't go to the Blue Jays because I felt like a jinx.   Then today  I just assumed at least when I go to the I control my anger more plus I could get hammered on Love Streets.

Sugar Land is 9-4.  Loperfido has been historic.  Cabbage, Leon, Hensley, and Bastides (who?) have all hit like studs.  VanWey and Gaither have been extremely good in their pen.  Blubaugh was lights out in his first start.  Whitley gave up some runs but his stuff has looked great.  There’s talent there.  Their High A and A ball teams are .500 or better and have some really exciting young guys.  It’s their AA team that is the main place their overall weak farm is exposed.  Corpus is 1-7.

Probably easier to do than you’d think, the way MMP has been lately…

I don’t know what my streak is but it feels not great after going to all the ALCS home games and one loss this year…

4 game hit streak , up to .250 ba

Singleton’s wRC+ now stands at 103, which means so far this season he’s been an above average offensive player.  Usually a 1B is expected to be 120+, but he’s not been bad this season, especially considering the context of his opportunities.  I really hope he is allowed to continue to play almost every day over the next 3-4 weeks.

Not to go all @Mez2 but ….

today’s game is highly critical due to out shitty start. Have to validate yesterday's W

dare say, the most important game of the year !

You beat me to it!

We are 5-11. That sucks.
to win 90 games (which is a guarantee for playoffs and probably will win the division) we have to win at a 58% clip.
Thats a 94 win team which was our Vegas o/u. Nothing is fucked.
Get some guys healthy in the rotation and the back end of the bullpen already looks like it’s settled down and we are who we thought we were.
Might want to split the next 4 against the Braves and rangers.

Through 16 games this season, the GOAT …

.365 BA/.452 OBP/.635 SLG, 8 2B, 3 HR, 5 RBI, 218 OPS+

World Baseball Classic fucked us out of a ring last year. Not dusty, not diaz, not machete, not line ups

I don’t understand this at all.

how did the WBC have any impact on our inability to win a home playoff game in the ALCS

So tempting to call him up right here, right now, but I wince when I see that K rate in AAA (22K in 54 AB).

Yes- you cannot survive in the bigs with a 35% k rate. He needs to get that down to like 25-28% to be effective at all. He’s not got crazy power or plate discipline for a big league dude.
hopefully soon. Like June 1st or July 1st we start to see that.

Abreu misses maldy. Maldy made him look good.
Maldy’s slashing 069/100/103

Dusty baker should be horsewhipped for the shit he subjected us to last year.

Considering Bregman and McCormick have been affected by injuries and Abreu is dead, that’s a very solid performance as a whole.  (Caratini has a 174 wRC+.)
