Now we just need Hummels to reach up above the wall and take a homer away for the outfield web gem trifecta tonight

He better start running now to get there in time

Jake!

I’ve been told he’s maybe good enough to be a 5th OF. We shouldn’t count his hostels only his cold ones. And the glove work doesn’t count. But the arm does. Totally makes sense.

Kids pitched really well to have thrown 70 pitches in 3 innings and given up two runs. OT’s of trash contact gone against him.

“And then I pitched against the O’Rioles bro. No bro. I did. I pitched 3 and 1/3rd innings and only got lifted because of my pitch count dude. My fucking pitch count, man. Bummer.”

Hey that’s ok. The dude survived. What he was told to do was fucking insane. But he threw down. At least he left on his own terms.

Good job kiddo.

Hey, can I fuck your sister?

Last fastball was 90.5

Everything else was 93-94

last cutter the pitch before was 3 mph lower than what it had been too

edit: actually the last pitch the inning before on the Meyers catch is listed as an 88 mph four-seamer

why the hell was he sent back out there?

Bloss is not very good at giving his catcher a chance at throwing out runners thingy

Fair.  But, not just tonight.

10 minutes to get an umpire in new gear? When have you ever seen a home plate ump get ready in less than 20, Kalas?

If you gotta take a dump anyone in the dugout do it now

Espada is a big dummy.

Dammit.
if this happens at the end of the 3rd, we probably go to the pen and Bloss doesn’t leave with an injury

Suprised there aren’t more repetitive motion injuries on high pitch count innings.

O’s color guy, former ML P Dave Johnson, spoke just yesterday in NY about studies correlating the number of pitches in an inning to arm issues … he said 30 pitches of max effort is the tipping point from muscle fatigue to tissue breakdown.

Johnson seemed surprised Bloss came back out for T4 based on pitch count … including 35 in the third.  Hope he doesn’t have a lasting problem … nice start.

This would seem like useful for our staff to know…

but it also presupposes they know how to count

Great, best new guy we have seen this year and we break him.

Loperfiso strikes out so much not because of his swing and miss but because he watches a metric shit ton of pitches right down the middle.

Feels like he is trying to be patient at the wrong, then he gets behind 0-2 and they feed him dirtballs.

He does, but when he doesn't his chances of getting a hit are good.

He and cabbage were hacking.  So was Myers last inning but after that catch he gets a pass.

So far. His babip is ridiculously unsustainable. I like him ok but he’s got to get his K% below 30 if he’s going to stick.
