Any team batting their outfield 7-9 has no business making the playoffs.

stay tuned for more hot takes. I’m smoking a pork belly currently and have some ribs, chicken and boudin to put on later. The next 4 hours should be fun. Be kind.

Dana:

Kikuchi: wanted a guy with a really good fastball and decent feel for breaking balls. like how he settled in after Rays were hunting fastballs.

Ferguson: need strikeouts in your bullpen. like what he gives for this. probably 6th, maybe 7th inning guy, depending on needs.

first base: "may have to call a young guy up from the minor leagues." cost for getting  a first baseman at the deadline, felt like even more players we would have had to give up than Kikuchi.  Called out Dezenzo and Whitcomb as options. Whitcomb playing at first yesterday was "clips of coming attractions"

JV: will get one more light bullpen , like he would between starts. then a rehab start; corpus likely up next because that's what lines up @tx 3 putt (didn't give a date); go to a 6 man rotation when he gets back.

Ryan Gusto: Ford asked about him. Brown didn't discuss him too much but used the chance to reinforce how deep we are to have been able to absorb the mess of the starting rotation this year.

Chas/Jake struggles: Let's see if Leon can get hot. need Chas down the stretch. he was great down the stretch last year and not having that and missing Tucker, really tough. Need Chas to find his stroke. Jake was up to .790 OPS. need him to get back to at least .740. Hopefully we get a spark from Leon.

No Meyers. Makes the beer colder and the bbq tastier. Now if we only had someone to take Spaghetti’s place

his past 5 starts have been very #4/5, zero support

It’s like we scored 10 runs yesterday...but didn't.

Yordan contributing bases-empty singles isn't the cure for this malaise. When was the team's last 4-hit inning? During the pandemic?

10 straight games Astros pitching with 10+ K’s

last time Aug-Sep 2022

Cleveland has MLB record with 13 straight in August 2017

Would have been nice to coincide with a productive offense.

I’ve never in my life heard of the stat …….

Squared Up Swings

lololololol another worthless stat

Had to be Boras and his people. Tied with Witt Jr in any category is a joke.

Is there anybody in the organization that can have a come to Jesus talk with Bregman? He needs to focus on getting on base in front of Yordan. This driving the ball and trying to knock in runs shit isn’t working for him.’
