angels we can easily sweep, even in a 4 game series.

Mariners we can easily sweep, they are inventing new ways to lose

Indians: a sweep won’t be easy. But if we can pull it off, they only need to lose 2 out of the next 6.

so there it is! 10 game winning streak to end the season and Indians lose 2 of their next 6 before we sweep them.

Cant win 10 in a row to finish the season if you don’t win 2 first!

Zero chance you leave him off. He is a leader for the staff.  He will give you three innings

You for real? 3 innings in a playoff start?
Love JV but this isn’t the time to get sentimental . Leader of the staff? Good grief. Go Stros!

Right. 3 innings is what you ask when you’re in August and have 4 starters on the IL and you’re piecing together a bullpen game to turn over the rotation.

sadly he’s played himself in to the role of last pitcher you carry and bring in if you need a guy to eat innings in a lost game in the early part of a long series

he's also mostly sucked in the playoffs and he's sucking now. no reason to risk him blowing up early in a pivotal playoff game.

I was on a 5 or 6 game L streak last year, including an ALCS game. Final month of home games was brutal.

We need to start hitting some HR and XBH again. No dingers in the past 5 games and only something like 15 in our last 20.

Singles, easy flyouts, and strikeouts are getting kinda boring.

nate this year. Hoping to keep my recent streak of W's going tonight.

Welp, got what I asked for. Got the W. Got to see a bunch of XBH and HR.

Beyond all that, I was there to see the informal end of the career of one of the best pitchers in the history of the sport. 3 innings where he was everything he had ever been, and then he turned back into an injury-riddled 41 year old. IT got a bit dusty watching Old Man JV walk off to a standing ovation and tap his chest, knowing it was over.

What a fucking ride we've had with that guy since the late season trade in '17.
