B. Abreu is clicking in right at 50% of game splayed. 31-37, Abreu has pitched in 34 games. Espada learned from the master on how to blow out your bullpen in the 1st half.

You wanted Montero in the 8th?

It's probably easier for us to make a list of players we wouldn't take over Abreu.

Maldonado

I keep telling Andrew Maldonado is clearly worse and he doesn’t believe me. That rat bastard.
you’ve got the entirety of the list right now, I think.

No. The Astros are essentially carrying 11 pitchers because Dubin and Hernandez aren't used. It has been a week since either pitched in a game. If you are going to carry them, you need to use them so you aren't using Montero for 3 straight games, wasting Seth Martinez on 2 pitches, and having Abreu pitch in the half the games. If you don't want to use them because they suck, then why are they on the 26-man roster.

He isn't really better than anyone on their current roster except maybe Gavin Lux

Chris Taylor still there?

I mean yeah he has had a shitty 100ABs, but he has been a better player than Biggio in the past. They are still paying him 13M a yr so I guess we can see if they have the balls to do what the Astros don't

They aren't going to do anything.

The more you play him the higher the chance he gets hurt, which is what we need so that he gets put on the list....preferably the 60 day

He needs to 'strain his back' and go on the IL. He saves face. Bagwell saves face.

Then he gracefully retires at EOY.

One can dream.
