Time to predict the 26 for this round.  Although I'd love it to be like no more than 10 pitchers, I'm sure they will carry 11.

Pitchers:  Framber, Brown, Kicuchi, (in that order).  Pen- Hader, Presley, Abreu, Nerris, Arrighetti, JV, King, Turd Fergusson (barf)- I'd personally go with Ort there

C- Diaz, Caratini, Salazar

IF- Singleton, Altuve, Pena, Bregman, Whitcomb, Dezenzo

OF- Yordan, Heyward, Chas, Meyers, Dubon, Tucker

That’s probably right. Although idk what value JV gives you. Arrighetti can handle the mop up duty if we’re getting blown out and I’d trust his stuff more to play the role of Garcia if we find ourselves in an 18 inning marathon.

Infield, I’d eye Kessinger for defense instead of whitcomb.

Good catch. Probably will be Kess. I would have whitcomb rather than Dezenzo if you make that switch.

Yes- I thought I had him in there. Brain fart. Him for King I bet.

Ferguson and King’s numbers the past month are both shitty. Turd’s are slightly less shitty.

ort’s are better than them both (including against lefties), except for the long ball. Which is not what you want right now.

I have no idea. Put King, Ferguson, Ort, JV names in to a hat. Hold your nose and pull two out.

FUCK!

There should never be a playoff series where Dubon starts over Yordan…but if there were, it would be this one (better against Tiger pitching this year in every category with only 4 fewer plate appearances than Yordan):

Remind me which knee?

left? Or right?

if right, just wheel him out there if he’s the tying/winning run in the 8th or 9th (or extras) and let him crawl around the bases if he has to after delivering this year’s version of the Robbie Ray blast

No downside to putting Alvarez on the roster.  Nobody worth a damn to take the spot.

we can’t risk shay whitcomb breaking the playoff record for errors

Burn a spot for him just in case. I don't care.

Especially since you don’t need more than 8 or 9 pitchers for a 3 game series. I mean- I know they will carry more- but Yordan for a PH or two, even if he can’t run, is more valuable over the 3 gamer than turd Ferguson or Ort.

This is incorrect. My sources are way better.

Yordan will start at DH. JV probably on the roster but won’t start this series (obviously).

Global HVAC company Daikin will be the new stadium sponsor (not sure if this has been covered in this thread).

Let's hope upgrading the stadium air conditioning is part of the deal. We were at field level for that Friday night White Sox loss, and it was about 85 inside.

Doesn't Minute Maid/coca cola have it until like 2030 or something?

Money can buyout anything but:

The Astros sold naming rights of the ballpark in 2002 to locally based Coca-Cola subsidiary Minute Maid for $100 million over 30 years

Two months prior for me.  But prior to me accepting a friend, I didn't know worked there, ran into me and told me "run, don't walk away", ended up at Reliant instead

Probably not but they will put in a P.F. Chang’s featuring nothing but dishes with Chinese radishes.

You’ll never convince me that games at 1:32, 3:08, 4:32 and 7:38 will get more eyes than two games at 5:30 and 2 games at 8:00.

It’s playoffs. We need prime time.

all of this, factor in sliding the west coast game back to their normal hours

Crazy record for 1 run games.  Normalize that to .500 and this is a 90-95 win team.  Normalize it to their record in other games and they’re a 97 win team.  Thats amazing considering the number of SP innings lost to injury and the fact that their $20M/yr 1B died last year.

It also goes to show you how awful Espada is at managing.
