On that part of 75 that is lowered there really isn't a lot of space for a cop to stop and sit.  Everything is all walled in, yea there is a shoulder but it's thin and wouldn't think they want to hang out there.

For sure. Always thought they should post a spotter with a radar gun on the Northpark overpass (where the idiotic protestors post up from time to time) then have a partner sitting off the access road around Walnut to drive in and make the stop.  I rarely drive it super late anymore but even coming back from a Stars or Mavs game odds are you will have someone pass you going 90+.

We called it the Central Deathway.

I grew up when the on ramps on Central were like 10 ft long, so I understand the sentiment.

Looks like he has retained State Sen Royce West, who handled a lot of old Cowboys stuff, including Michael Irvin if I remember correctly.

No shit.  If you grew up in central Dallas in the early 90s as I did, this freeway is luxurious.

I'm not going to hear any complaints about that road from someone who didn't have to go 0 to 70 in the span of 70 yards, close your eyes, and pray there wasn't someone in the right lane preventing you from merging in before the entrance lane ended in a concrete barrier.  It was like automotive Russian roulette.

That was livin', my friends.

Yep grew up in Dallas, learning to drive at 15 with my permit.  Had maybe done a week or so of driving around the neighborhoods etc and mom directs me to Mockingbird and Central and said something like, "you're gonna have to do this so no sense in avoiding it"

Lower level of 35 in Austin near 38th 1/2 will pucker you up quite nicely.  The onramp is....spicy.....vertical wall to your right, speeding traffic on the left, and a short ass merge lane.

It wasn't even his lambo? It was a RENTAL?

The NFL doesn't pay what it used to, I guess.

He owned the Vette but was renting the Lamborghini for $1750/day

I have totalled a car on 75 but it wasn't 75's fault.

It was also thankfully a one-car collision.

Had a Ford Escort that took a minute to get to 65mph. To enter 35 there…it was challenging

I had an 1100 cc Dotson B210 sedan.  I had motorcycles pass me that had bigger engines.   trying to pass on a two lane road was always terrifying - as it took a minute to get to passing speed - and if a way wasn’t open for 20 seconds to get by the car, it would be a head-on collision.   I did not mourn its passing.

I hate the lower level. Ex-wife almost got killed there leaving LBJ. I still do upper deck and merge over on my way home. Not fun, but better.

So you're mad that the lower level didn't finish the job?

Mom got rear ended by some out of town dip shit in a sports car in Austin.  I forget the exit, but from the drivers perspective you exit, go up a slight incline and then it dips back down before you come to a light.  He was flying off the highway and cars were backed up at the light, just out of visual line of sight of exiting cars.  He crested the hill at full speed and wasn't paying attention and slammed into the back of her car.  Car was totaled and her knee was done.  She's recovered, but the way she described it was awful.  At a complete standstill and the car is barreling down on you.

Nah, she was cool for the next few years and gave birth to the two kids. Hate her, love them, so it was a win win.

it didn't look like it in the video I guess I'm a moron.

Who knows maybe that is his story after talking to his lawyer.  Maybe the consequences of him not being the driver were worse due to conditions in the rental agreement.  IDK.

They were 15 ft long... but you couldn't see the traffic until the on ramp ended because the pillars. So... 1 ft in total.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice faces eight charges, including aggravated assault, after he and another speeding driver of a sports car caused a recent chain-reaction crash, Dallas police said Wednesday.

Police said arrest warrants have been issued for Rice, 23, for one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury.

Rice's attorney, state Sen. Royce West, said last week that Rice had been driving a Lamborghini sport utility vehicle when the crash occurred.

Arrest warrants for the same charges were also issued for Theodore Knox, 21, who was driving the other speeding sports car, a Corvette, police said.

Police said Rice and Knox were not in custody.

Per multiple sources, multiple teams learned during the pre-draft process about an alleged incident involving Rice while he was at SMU. Rice believed former SMU basketball player Kendric Davis was seeing Rice’s girlfriend. Rice and some of his friends, per the specific information gathered by at least one team, went to an SMU basketball game. Rice (or someone with him), per the specific information gathered by at least one team, fired multiple bullets into the empty car belonging to Kendric Davis.
