Anything really, although if you are domestic don’t use it to watch YouTube and Netflix as that is an unnecessary suck on the bandwidth. If you need it traveling abroad then it’s fine. But if we have a few hundred people trying to stream Netflix on it at the same time for 2 hours it’ll be hard to cover the network cost for so cheap. I have access to an unmetered 10gbps connection I’d put this on for fairly reasonable in a few US locations.

IMO, you're gonna run into lots of folks using it for region shifting their Internet traffic. Getting around regional locks and blocks, that sort of thing. If you offer it as a perk you're gonna want to put some quotas on it just to protect yourself from the bandwidth cost running out of control

I don’t think YouTube and Netflix are going to be the major streamers people access given a particular law in Texas.

No one watches that content for 2 hours at a time in a row.

10gbps unmetered port. I’m not a potato I know to buy the line and not the bandwidth use.

Um, hi.

So, you gonna keep logs of what everyone's  favorite fetish website to visit using the VPN is?

Expand

We will keep absolutely no logs. Your VPN credentials will however be tied to your account because creating rotating credentials is way too fucking much work for the subscription fee.

He offered it months ago, like right after the law first went into effect. You just had to message him. I've had SurlyVPN since then. Great ease of use.

Ive thought about it and while Im sure you wont keep any logs, this is the first thing that popped into my head when I read that.

The P in VPN stands for porn, at least for me. So with that...

What I take from all this is that people do not watch porn involving nude people without souls.

Or, people bail out when they discover almost all are obviously fake, and the few that might be real lack confirming carpet.

What if you are just traveling with a broad ?

I use Mullvad. I like that it's super easy and I can easily split tunnel to make plex easier.

I am technical enough to google command line stuff for linux, was using a rasp pi for a while, but I can't troubleshoot issues.

Would you suggest I stick with Mullvad or give this a shot?

There wasn't really enough interest to justify it's own 10gbps dedicated node (only 50ish people).

I can look into a cheaper way to do this

What kind of node is needed for the 5-15 minutes of pornhub in between the kids bedtime and when the wife asks you to go to bed?

Whatever that is should be your target. Use outside of that should be minimal.

FWIW I'm interested. Ready to pull the trigger on a VPN (Kaspersky) but Surly would be my first choice. I blend in with degenerates.

What do you like about Kaspersky?
