I heard a little bit about this this morning on OTF. This is some bullshit. The agent kept negotiating with Florida after the NLI was signed to Oregon. I know nothing will happen, but this sets a really bad precedent that I hope a bunch of schools don't start doing.

NCAA will put their top men on it, until SCOTUS says it’s fine bc free market.

This the most top heavy Portal ever. Every single commit is “one of the top” whatevers

...until the next "one of the top whatever" enters the portal.

TL;DR if there are n portal entries for a given position, reject the first n/e entrants, then choose the next one that is better than all those you've evaluated so far.

Best friend growing up in Dallas went to Pepperdine for one year…

1) He was one strike away from being expelled with the penultimate infraction being Empty Beer Cans found behind a couch in his suite.

2) He and his group of friends all transferred away after one year.
(Beautiful view, but not worth it because the school was run by religious nut jobs.)

3) Everyone I know who went to UCSB loved it.

No one complained about religious nut jobs. Only person who transferred away chose to transfer to UT and I think that it was for financial reasons. (Instate tuition)

I mean. That explains why the Pirate went there.

National Letters of Intent do not exist anymore. I think the only thing binding under the current structure is scholarship papers, which binds the school to the recruit, but not vice versa. Theoretically, anyone who just "signed" can just enroll somewhere else, correct? Kind of makes national signing day a ceremony and somewhat meaningless.

It kind of has for a while I mean Bru McCoy did it twice before his class took a single snap. It's free transfers, and if not that then release from NLI recently

Quite literally the only thing not allowed with regards to transferring is: during the season, and the window. Who knows how long both will last.

zero fumbles on 400+ carries. Wouldn't mind a 240lb back to lean on during the SEC grind, assuming he's not slow as shit

He has long speed and breaks tackles often enough. I think injuries have been his biggest issue, but I haven’t looked into him in a while.

He (Donaldson) suffered a horrific concussion against us at DKR his freshman year. I’m not sure how he’s been on the head injury front since then, but whenever I’ve heard his name, I go back to that moment and hope he’s been able to avoid a repeat. He’s a really good player.

Edited to clarify Donaldson is the subject of my post.

He fucked around and found out.

Seems like he was told that Duke was going to get next year’s qb from the portal and that he could be qb2 again or go look around. He looked around, he found Oregon state. Two entities with seemingly similar cache in the market.

Spoiler

May be an image of text that says 'ORANGEBLOODS Inside the 40 Acres 9. 9.It's It's very possible that the spring Portal will be much stronger than last year's window. It just means that anything that comes in the spring won't be from the SEC because of the league rules. Programs across the country are still going to be flush wish tens of millions to spend once this initial window closes. The spring could be wild. 10. Former Longhorn linebacker Derion Gullette signed with Mississippi State today. Here's hoping it works out for him. Last edited by a moderator: Yesterday at 9:27'
