And 94 was a 4 way tie.  Last outright conference title was 1956.  The border conference.  Hardin Simmons was a member of the border conference.

Of course it was actually a 4 way tie for second place.  Aggy had won but been caught cheating (shock).  Tech got the Cotton Bowl bid because it had been longer since a Tech appearance (never) than the other schools.  Tech valiantly represented the SWC by being boat raced by USC 55-17.  Game was over in Q1.

Losers of epic proportions.

Palo Alto to Lubbock

Probably will pull in 1.5X to 2.5X of whatever we were offering and likely more than he pulled in his entire time at Stanford combined.

After 6 months in Lubbock, he will declare for the NFL Draft or return to Pablo Alto to finish his degree, if he suffers a substantial injury.

If he picked Stanford 3 1/2 years ago, obviously possibly competing for a national championship in college was not a priority.

Campbell is a good dude and he could fund Tech NIL at a&m jimbo retard levels every year and not even blink, there's some other guys helping too. I did think it was funny how he thought just because CDC would take his phone calls and be cordial on the phone meant we were actually going to play Tech every year when we left.

I doubt that a kid that went to Stanford as a top 40 recruit in the country is going to go to Tech. Michigan, UCLA maybe Florida but dirt Aggy isn’t pulling this type of kid.

I know he visited there but just don’t see it.

Nailed it.

this is the correct response.  Dude is a decent player but not worth the silly money he was allegedly asking for.  If he's the best available and texas has cash sitting around doing nothing...ok.  But otherwise?  Let Tech blow their load on this...

Let those morons spend all they want to try and get to 9 wins. McGuire fucking sucks as a HC. He ain't doing shit with anyone out of the transfer postal. When your last CC was in "94, you know no amount of money is getting you anywhebut middle of the pack.

Mike Leach would have made the playoffs if he were still there, but their idiot AD fuck him over, and now they're in an inescapable hell.

A frequent flyer has found a new home (if the surlyx images are still borked, Drew Pyne is heading to Bowling Green after Mizzou, Notre Dame, and Arizona State).

Can we just call it a tie and let X be X again.

Please.  At least let it happen before Football season starts.

Stats look great, but I need to know who his dad's roommate in college was first before I'm sold.

The final sentence, "Texas is expected to be highly and selectively aggressive in the portal," has me gruntled.

No more batted fucking balls would be great

Yeah, something in the red zone needs to get more than just "focus".

Texas State standout kicker Mason Shipley has entered the transfer portal,

and I have learned for

/

. Shipley, a 2023 first-team All-Sun Belt selection, is 31 of 35 on field goals in his career. https://247sports.com/season/2025-football/transferportal/

Oh sweet, it's something already on this page but with less information and worse formatting!

Gerry later says it's football. But what a crazy thread to start lol

Also the player is Emmett Mosley V

Was a true freshmen last year.

He played really well down the stretch.  In his last three games he had 26 catches, 332 yards, and 6 TDs.

And Stanford had abysmal QB play

Yeah, take him and keep looking for the productive speedster.

Gruntling. I'm probably dumb for thinking this way, but I always assume that Stanford players will be hard workers / good culture fits.

Looks like Sark actually offered the Mosley kid in August of 2021. So the staff has known of him for some time. His tape is nice, he reminds me of Matthew Golden. Super smooth and controlled, so much so that it makes their game speed on tape look slower. Yet they create a ton of separation.

Could be a good underneath and red zone receiver for us. Catches the ball with hands very well, does great job using his body in traffic, finds spots in zones and always good to have a guy who can do that to move the chains especially with inexperience at tight end.

Like I said, an old tweet with shitty formatting was a huge step up for him.

Sort of a Jaden Greathouse deal there. I could see a guy who is really good at getting open and catching the ball doing some damage in this offense.

I support receivers getting open and catching balls I suppose
