Mosley is well and good, but he’s not the sure thing they’re coveting entering the portal, right? They’ve got significant money earmarked for someone.

Obviously they’re saving that for Parker Livingstone lol. They could want some experience and he might not be an expensive get in portal

Bobby this morning:

Along with an extraordinary list of high school prospects, Texas is hosting Stanford wide receiver Emmett Mosley V on an official visit this weekend.

Mosley caught 48 passes for 525 yards and six touchdowns as a true freshman last season. He’s an exacting route runner with terrific size (6-2, 190) and hands.

Earlier this week, Mosley visited Virginia.

Mosley is not considered a burner, but uses his size, athleticism and technical skills to create separation. Watch the tape and you’ll see a receiver who is highly polished at such a young age.

More on Mosley:

Out of Rancho Santa Margarita Catholic High (Calif.), Mosley was a top 250 national recruit in the class of 2024. Texas offered Mosley a scholarship out of high school but he looked primarily at west coast schools, including UCLA and Washington, as well as Stanford.

Both of Mosley’s parents played sports at Notre Dame. His dad was a running back on the football team while his mom was the collegiate national player of the year in soccer. He also has a younger brother Trent in the class of 2026 who is also a wide receiver and is committed to USC. His older sister played soccer for Iowa.

Every now and then someone drops the name Jordyn Tyson. I have no idea if this has any chance of happening, but it would certainly leave me in a state of extreme gruntlement.

What if I told you Arch is the only recruit from the 2023 top 8 who is still at his original school?

Makes me like that kid even more

Why would anyone post that besides you? No other clown on this site has intimated that he’s worth a shit.

That’s the kind of guy I’d expect, given circumstances. The level of plaintive whining coming from all directions if that happened would be high entertainment on my end. Dillingham might cry on live tv again.

Although ASU made the playoff, this doesn’t seem that outrageous. Texas kid coming back home to play with Arch in the SEC.

Counter point ASU coeds:

We should go for Nico. He can play OT if Turntine doesn’t put on enough weight.

Sweet ! Cryptic recruiting updates that lack any detail are my favorite.

Sark lined up the money to go all in on Micah Hudson.

I don't remember the Mathew Golden recruitment even remotely close to implying that he was going to be the fastest WR in the NFL combine, It seems going for a polished route runner with good hands have been perfect portal gets two years in a row. Lets hope Mosley is the same if he commits.

Golden was fast in high school, as well as at Houston where he returned multiple kicks for TDs. I don’t think anyone projected him as fastest at the combine back then, but his speed was no surprise.

I support receivers getting open and catching balls I suppose

I support women doing this as well.

Aforementioned Exhibit ASU:

From a CBS Sports article on the #1 transfer options in the portal, by position, for WBB.

(Cunningham is the #1 Center.)

Do we need to get the futureman-fister involved in this transfer portal window?

Solid physique, but unsure whether can beat out Hutson, Robertson and Cruz.

I'm hearing that the visit of Stanford receiver Emmett Mosley V has gone really well. Texas has put themselves in a good position to land him.

But another team is still hanging around, and that's USC.

Emmett's younger brother Trey is committed to the Trojans, and Emmett attended high school at Santa Margarita Catholic in Southern California.

The Trojans, however, have a much different set of circumstances at receiver than the Longhorns. USC returns three of their top four receivers from a year ago. They also don't have Arch Manning at QB who is set for a two-year run at the position that matches with Mosley's timeline as a rising sophomore.

Texas is heavily involved here. We'll see if the Horns can get it over the finish line. Virginia also received a visit but they seem to be in the second tier of consideration.

Cal TE Jack Endries to the portal.  56 receptions last season for 623 yards.

He’s a fuck beast.  Decent blocker but one of the best pass catching TEs in the nation.  Really fast for the position too

He is a first down machine.  Great hands.  Tough as nails catching the ball in traffic.  And that TD against Miami, they measured him at 20.8 mph or something.  He outran the Miami DB. Dude is really good
