I'd be good with that. Yeah Spence seems like a very solid 3rd LB behind Hill/Lefau and with 2 years of eligibility, he could possibly develop into something more which is big with Hill likely going pro after this year.

The Purdue TE seems similar. Another Soph with good P5 production, maybe not a 1st round type but likely to be a solid contributor immediately and the has time to develop further. I like this kind of take.

(Obvious disclaimer: I haven't watched any of these guys, just going off stats, etc)

My bad on Spence. I’m daydrinking in New Orleans and was thinking he’s the DT they’re bringing in. Now I realize that’s Brevard. Sentiments are the same except if they land a LB of that quality, that would be a fucking coup.

Nice. And yeah Spence seems more exciting than the DT for sure.

I can’t figure out which Scrooge is my favorite. I really like the classic George C. Scott version from the early 80’s. Then there’s Mickey’s Christmas Carol. I played Ebenezer in that version in 5th grade. Scrooged is really well done and Bill Murray is excellent. Then there’s Spirited, which I highly recommend.

Award-winning cartoonist John Allison is posting a few sketches over the holiday break featuring himself being visited by ghosts played by characters he's created, yelling at him for becoming a cartoonist and being bad at it (which, again, he's objectively not). It's a lot of in-jokes, but then, if you're not familiar with his work, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Imagine a British Joss Whedon, but funnier and better.

Anyway, I nominate this one. (I'm in his Patreon so I've read the whole thing; y'all poors are going to have to wait for him to post each page.)

And just like the majority of pro athletes the majority will blow through that money and have to find an actual J.O.B. of some kind one day....I mean heck I've got more in savings then NIL is paying players and I'm not retiring to a life of luxury or anything.

Must be in nursing.

The one you quoted is hard to beat. Michael Caine absolutely acting his ass off with a completely straight face while the muppets do muppet things around him is a big part of the magic that makes that movie great. He never winks at the camera one single time.

The best part about this post is that the mods, who I suppose have no choice at this juncture, are carefully implying that this exodus of players is a voluntary choice by the staff.

This roster is getting town down to the studs [by Venables]. Is it now?

Is "town down" better or worse than "plaid"?

How much does his buyout drop after next season?  Because it would be neat if they can't afford to fire him then either.  Then he could really leave the program a steaming, meth filled crater.

I’m still pulling for us to get more transfers even if it means I’m subjected to handjob jokes every time we get a commit. In a way that makes me the truest Longhorn fan on here.

That’s not a movie, that’s a time capsule.

Tearing down to the studs can work if 1) the studs contain some elite talent that can determine the outcome of a game (QB, D-Line, O-Line), and 2) the school has a war chest to buy some elite talent in the portal.

I don't think OU can check either of these boxes.

This is really going to hurt for OU.

I read somewhere still north of 30mm after next years forthcoming 3-9 season. Couldn't happen to a better bunch.

This guy and UF apparently had very different ideas of what his NIL should be. Those two programs are desperate enough he should be able to drive a hard bargain.

Also, anyone need a running back?

And do you have any idea how difficult that is to do with Henson-era Muppets engaging in mayhem?

Comedy straight men are the best actors alive. I'll die on this hill... but not here. Over in some other thread. ANYWAY

How is this possible? The OU coaching staff posted a Bible verse just yesterday.

A verse about choosing between God or money, no less.

I think they're going after the money, Jo.

Orji? Pardon me for being a dipshit, but isn't he like... really good?
