He'll play plenty won't he? I thought he was pretty well regarded.

Nope. He's already been passed up by younger guys like Collins. And we took three edge players this year too. He came in with a maxed out body. He doesn't have the physical tools or the twitch to play at Texas. Maybe he goes to a place like Rice and starts and gets an elite degree.

It's not about absurd demands, the made up part is the dumb fucks just picked shit becuase they believe NIL contracts would look like a coaching contract. Newsflash, they do not. Explain how a marketing agreement or product sponsorship covers "medical injury time off" or "hotel arragements." Sure, I could make an arugment that a hotel chain in all of the cities Tech travels too might want a sponsorship deal with an opposing player...but yeah, it's stupid. As is the concept of "Micah Hudson's injury time off, brought to you by McDonald's." It's dumb. At best, the agent would run some #s and the money for that kind of thing would be included in a lump sum of money from a collective. But the contract wouldn't look like that, at all.

Which is why it's entirely made up bullshit by some moron on the Internet who's Funk Dr. Spock level stupid

Why are you angry?

Mateer should see what Ohio St or Ole Miss would do instead of a program falling off a cliff like Oklahoma.

Feel like both are set. Ohio St is probably going with Sayin and Ole Miss likes Simmons.

Finkley is not in the portal guys, I think he's working with the staff to see if he actually wants to portal and that's why Sark brought it up in multiple contexts.

Sark said today he's staying with the team through the playoffs. I don't know if he is technically in the portal or not but he announced he was heading there.

could be that he's already made up his mind, but it seems like he's a big culture guy and the staff may want him to stay for important things off the field and reward that with some balanced playtime.

Doesn't sound like something Sark would do, "reward" character with playing time to a guy who got passed up on the depth chart.

I mean, I don't know anything for sure but he himself re-posted the below.

Grain of salt and all that, but this is making the rounds on the Tech boards about Micah Hudson's demands. I'd be interested to hear if he got even close to this from the Aggies.

Sounds absurd but I didn't think Lincoln Riley's contract demands were real either. Then, it was confirmed.

You'd think with him wanting to be a doctor that he'd want to hang around. Oh well, regardless I hope he's successful. Always liked the kid.

He was a star 3rd string DE at Texas, I’m assuming he already shook the right hands to skip med school entirely

Personally, I think the entire site motto should be changed to SurlyHorns: Brought To You By Handjobs from Helobious.

Lets get all the mileage we can out of this for the time being.

Yeah, once you've been Jimbo'd you're fair game.

Random portal question - what happened to Jacoby Matthews from ATM? Seemed like he was doing pretty well for them but entered the portal last year and disappeared

Why are we still using star ratings issued to 16 year olds who've been in college for years? Most are in the portal because they suck and couldn't see the field.

I think Immamacs post is more about, yes he intended to enter, but hasnt yet, and the staff are talking to him about how to keep him.

He's not in the Portal he told people he's gonna portal, Sark said yeah he's really going through a tough time but he's staying through the run. If he enters it will be in the period for CFP participating teams. It sounds like Sark doesn't want him to enter.

There's your answer. There's nothing else to say about them.

I guess we’re going to see, outside of exceptional circumstances, back-up QB’s as kind of itinerant journeyman who transfer annually in search of more playing time.  Maybe four schools in four years becomes less of a stigma.

The bigger red flag to me is the large amount of upfront money and no further discussion of ongoing cash payments. I guess the aggies can be that stupid, but that's widely known as "not a best practice" when it comes to NIL. Really, really desperate schools do that.

Is this real, or are you just guessing/making stuff up.

All this fasusi talk is weird. Sounds like he wants to play early and all these announcements are exactly what he wants.  Open competition. Look for him in the spring window if y’all think he’ll leave. Depth chart will show you
