There has to be more to the Maalik story.  I can't figure out why he'd want to leave when Duke gives him as good a shot as anywhere to make it to the league, plus a damn good degree if he doesn't.

He doesn't strike me as the type to just chase a few more NIL $s.

Yeah, the whole "Not taking classes/going to classes" doesn't really add up to me. He's a very smart kid intellectually, so that's kind of strange.

Not bad (edit: and he's from Killeen)

Florida State extended an offer to transfer tight end Terrance Carter. The 6-foot-2, 239-pound tight end is a sophomore who played the past two seasons at Louisiana.

This past season he had 48 receptions for 689 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns. He averaged 14.4 yards per reception. He started all 13 games he appeared in this season.

During the 2023 season, he appeared in 12 games, making two starts. He had 28 receptions for 255 yards and three receiving touchdowns. He also had a pair of kick returns for 25 yards.

He is originally from Killeen, Texas. He played at Harker Heights High School.

Well the Hugh Freeze era will be over after next season if they land Arnold.

I feel like we should be chasing a starting RB. A thicc guy like Tahj Brooks, not a burner. I love Wisner and pray that Baxter will bounce back 100%

That Kentucky RB that hit the portal has size and speed.

Serious size, but injured for a lot of the season.

The thing with Georgia tackles is that state cranks out so many quality ones every year they always have dudes with talent that just don't get many snaps. Have to seriously evaluate a dude coming out of there who didn't get playing time and see if he's a fit culturally. Bill Norton was one of those dudes and he's done damn well for us in his specific role this season.

I think Baxter should be expected to be back to start the season. His knee injury was a little different from a standard ACL, but dudes are coming back from those in a matter of 8 to 10 months. If Baxter is back for day 1 of fall camp it would be 12 months. Christian Clark might take a lot longer with an Achilles.

I think they should replace Blue. Fumbleitis negates any talent you have. Reportedly he's been a headache for Choice in the room as well while his carries have dropped off a cliff. Blue leaving would necessitate a portal guy.

I don't think you make moves assuming next season will be like this one. It's rare to lose 2 guys, 1 being your main back, to season losing injuries before a game is played. Baxter returning along with Wisner and the Blue replacement would be sufficient with Gibson factoring in and the 2 freshmen.

I didn’t know this about Baxter’s injury. He seems like the type that will take PT seriously.
