For this site, the internet, and generally the world at large. I may have my mom cross stitch it on a pillow.

What a dumb choice, everyone knows needlepoint is better than cross stitch. Gah.

If you are new to embroidery, the structure of cross-stitch may be the most appealing. You will only need to master one simple stitch to complete a project. Once you finish your first project, you will be a little more prepared for needlepoint because the cross stitch shows up in some needlepoint projects.

If you wish to create a complex and more realistic image, needlepoint will be the best option. Needlepoint will also be the best solution if you want to create the look of different textures in one project or incorporate beads into a piece.

Since this is an internet message board, sewing someone's mouth shut is functaionally worthless. Think you can sew together all the fingers of some posters, though?

Sorry, I’m just an internet expert on embroidery, having looked it up literally:48 before posting.

Well that's certainly a take.  Another is the CFP schedule vs. the portal schedule pushed a backup who wanted playing time to the portal in the only viable window (Spring window sucks for QB and we all know it).  A player who by accounts did right by Texas, was loved by teammates and coaches, and really didn't want to go but had to if he wanted to progress in his career.  Your framing is, as usual, over-simplified, one-sided and lacking appropriate context.

I get that your schtick is to be the hyper-reductive asshole, so carry on.

I don't need your permission to carry on, even if I've hurt some feels in there for you.

The hagiographic pleadings from Murphy fanboys like to gloss over the simple fact, not framing, that the guy quit on the team. You can put all of the language and reasoning around it in an attempt to make that simple fact hide in the background, but it is still a fundamental fact. He quit on the team at a critical moment in time, not "doing right by Texas", actually the fucking opposite, and you cannot dispute that fact with any credibility.

To your claims, the portal doesn't close for playoff teams until after they've ended their run. He could have waited. Duke gave his agent a now or never offer, so rather than play things out, they jumped. They're doing it again this year. If you think that Sarkisian was excited for the guy to leave, or that the team cheered him on out the door, then you're further in fantasyland that I thought.

The Maalik Murphy Fanboy phenomenon is one of the more ridiculous things I've witnessed in longhorn netdom over the last 2+ decades. The guy was a nothing at Texas. He actively attempted to lose one of the only games in which he played. He quit during a playoff run for a money grab while receiving NIL at Texas. He had discipline issues that limited him earlier in his career.

"But he was liked by his teammates though!" So what. That's a lot of guys when the culture is right for a program. Then he goes to Duke and he's a turnover machine. Then he quits during bowl season and goes out for another grab. And you idiots are still bizarrely cheering the guy on.

I'm waiting for the fucking canonization process to begin, for Christ's sake.

I want to throw up anytime ctj posts something I agree with. Murphy fucking sucks and I don’t get why the fanbase is enamored with him. I watched him in the Miami game and he was seriously just awful, Duke went from near upset to blowout loss that game largely because of how shitty he played.

Texas is bringing in that lilliputian LB for a visit.

I guess it's kind of a regret-free thing. The guy put up elite numbers, he won't cost much at all, he's probably happy for the opportunity to be a role player and ST guy. None of that is bad and there's roster space for sure. I'm guessing, even if they land him, they try to find another LB with production at a higher level as well. LB is going to be somewhat of a tough sell in that the starters are now entrenched and good.

... and Ty'Anthony Smith is the first off the bench. Kind of a weird situation where we need bodies there but there isn't going to be much PT available.

"Please come here. We need LBs."  "Will I play?"  "Not really, no."

It does for an anonymous person, and if it's from Harvard.

UT and even Duke is neither.

Being a high-profile athlete opens many more doors. That's the entire point of the argument.

I know you think it sounds slick but the nominative case is more proper. The subject of the clause is the people who graduated from Vanderbilt. Engineering 101.

Actually, your original point addressed the claim that the Duke degree would have value for Murphy.

I made a grammar error. Do you admit errors?

As for you presuming to know what my goal is in using whom (dative), you project aquality typical of you by almost diagramming a sentence with a single letter wrong. Nice work, Slick.

Help yourself to the bowl of Christmas dingleberries on the way out.

Sorry to stop you in the middle of your Murphy rant CTJ but actual proof Arnold is going to visit MSU is here

My point wasn't that he'd visit or even wind up at MSU, but that it wasn't a locked up thing and that Auburn was very much a player. I read the OU 247 board enough to be able to understand, to some degree, who knows things and who doesn't. One of the non-$9.95er guys that seems to know someone involved with Arnold has been saying Auburn even when the mods were touting the MSU deal. Apparently, Lebby's been saying it's a done deal without actually checking with the Arnold camp.

First, I don't give a shit about MM once he left Texas.  He had big limitations and was never going to be more than a backup here.

If Duke did give him a time-bound take-it-or-leave-it, all the more reason to take it.  As others pointed out, he's not going to increase his value any more, and possible destinations and NIL potential would be gone by the time Texas was done.  I don't, as you do, begrudge a player for doing what is best for them.

Well, there are already plenty of DT in the portal but not posts that I’ve seen of any confirmed visits to Texas from any of them.  I don’t know if that points more to we know who we want/targeted/recruited/tampered and it’s not them, or if there is no plan and we may or may not be fucked.

We like Kenny Baker, but FFS the guy can't keep ONE non freshman DT out of the portal?

Well, they were all culture flameouts (Ross) or just bad at football (Bledsoe, Tapp, Bryant), and Mitchell has been a transfer risk from the second he got on campus. Hell of a job building the room by Davis.

The projection here is assuming that you know anything about what I think about Murphy. I don't "begrudge" the guy anything. I bedgrude the morons on this board, like you, who feel compelled to treat the Maalik Murphy with kid gloves that aren't afforded for virtually any other player. It reminds of the Applewhite fanboys back in the day. As to Murphy, I've always wished the guy good luck and said he was a mediocrity who quit on his team for money. More power to him and I'm not rooting against him.

As to the "carry on" bit, thanks for reinforcing my point, if unwittingly.
