Ignore the stupid ass take saying it was an embarrassing drop.

If you’re talking about Bond, you’re the stupid ass take. Evidently, you don’t care if anyone ever takes you seriously. Sorry Quinn fucked your girlfriend, or whatever, but you obviously couldn’t get the job done.

Lol, Quinn was far from the reason we lost yesterday, might be confusing me with someone else. That throw was awful though.

He was injured all year. The chance to catch passes from Manning is an opportunity he wont pass up.

Reading other boards it seems that Bond may not be welcomed back.  Reading between the lines it seems that the thought is that once he got hurt it was all about Bond instead of the team.
I can see this for a lot of short term or one year “rentals”.  If things aren’t going well or if you are hurt and not performing why leave it all on the field?   Or maybe we just need to stop taking players from Bama.

First I am hearing about this. But would make sense more than the lingering injury story.

"Awful"

I remember awful throws...I remember Casey Thompson throwing it 5 yards out of bounds when Worthy was wide open for a touchdown.

Hitting the receiver in both hands is not an "awful" throw.

Elite defenses are hard to replicate. This year everything came together for once in the secondary and the line. It’s been a long long time since we’re DBU we need another makuba bad. Another Thorpe at the corner. Simmons will set records. Beef in the middle. Hill we have for one more year   I hope we go hard in the portal back to back years in the semis one play from a national title game. We gotta put it together in 25

it was a little behind, but he had two hands on it and its head level (yes he jumps).

Clutch receivers would catch that pass. Great receivers would catch that pass . good receivers would catch that pass

Horrible drop man, horrible

It was only behind him because he jumped for no reason

It was a horrible drop and a horrible throw. If Quinn leads him it's a fucking TD given the amount of space he had and his speed. Two things can be true at the same time.

Quinn was the reason we lost all of the 3 games this season. His inability to make accurate throws with his WRs moving greatly impact the offense in its efforts to score points. Go watch a NFL game and watch QBs hit Bond moving and watch the WR take it to the house. Go watch a NFL QB hit Golden without him having to leave his feet for a TD instead of a 27 yard game. Against lesser opponents maybe you score a TD, against good defenses they stop you at the one yard line when you should have had a 40 yard TD.

It shouldn’t be the first you’re hearing about it. It was talked about before the first game of the season was played.

I had a couple people connected tell me he might be the dumbest motherfucker to ever don the orange and white and diplomatically posted something like that during fall camp and said adjust expectations accordingly. Not OKG.  Then he started strong and I thought my guy got it wrong. Nope.

Decent chance we are better next year than this year.
Lb should be better by virtue of getting older. Edge should be better for the same reason. DT a step back but not as much as everyone thinks. If Taaffe comes back and Williams is healthy we will have 4 guys at safety that will be really good.  Guilbeuaux a year older and in his contract year. I think Manny will be fine to really good. Maybe he takes a step and is elite. I’d like to see a couple corners come in the portal but they might already be on campus.
If Terry had a Simmons like freshman season things get really interesting.
Also, I expect every team on our schedule to be more or less dogshit offensively next year except maybe Florida, so… the defense will be elite level fine in all likelihood. Like, top 5 defense again by the numbers in the game.
Really only spot we are glaringly lacking that absolutely needs to be filled in the portal in my opinion is WR1. We need a stud.

Overall agree, but I think we’ll be noticeably worse at the beginning of the season. Replacing 4/5 offensive line starters, including a generational left tackle, is no joke. Losing Barron and Mukuba from the secondary is brutal; I expect that unit to take a big step back.

The great thing is that our schedule is very manageable yet again. On paper, trips to Columbus, Athens and Gainesville should be the only real challenges. Plenty of room to have growing pains yet still win. Go 1-2 in those games and you are in the playoffs, and it’s all about getting hot at the right time.

why not just do juco and keep a year of eligibility then?

1) Juco (unless placed there specifically by a power school) tends to take kids off the radar.

2) Kids with talent think they are 3 & done types anyway

3) NCAA may move to a blanket 5 yr eligibility window for everyone to dispense with all of the petitions to extend eligibility for x, y or z.

Losing Barron will hurt but we have equal replacements for Mukuba. Offensive line will be fine. The biggest issue we had this year with the line was we had 1 do everything. 2 drive blockers. And 2 finesse blockers. We should have had a goal line line that could drive block in short yardage.

I wonder if Wingo is frustrated and bolts. He’s a stud but Ewers rarely seemed to look his way.

I wouldn’t think so, given that the new QB is familiar and figures to be good, and many of the guys absorbing the targets Wingo wasn’t getting will be moving on. Where is he going for a better situation?

How do you think this?

We're losing at minimum 3 multi-year starters and potentially all 5, and you think it will be fine?

I know the rumint bond isn’t wanted back. But wouldn’t he be WR1 if he returned?  Was that is issue?  He’s a talent I’m not sure if he’s a head case and got butt hurt after the injury or what his deal is. But early on we had another worthy mitchell combo with golden and bond. Surely he Wingo and the freshman studs would make a lethal combo along with Moore back

is there any potentials out there or future predictions for another golden

Between Goosby, Hutson, Robertson, Neto and the young guys like Baker, Cruz, Kibble, we should have enough that it’s a solid unit next year. Getting Baxter back in pass protection and Arch’s size/mobility helps too.

I think we're only going to lose three. A line of Goosby - USC portal dude or Neto - Hutson - Campbell - Williams will be fine and might actually look like an improvement due to, ah, certain improvements at other positions.

Is Brandon Baker an IOL or a Tackle? And do we expect him to be in the mix?
