Wisner is better as a complimentary back. Sark has mainly ran* inside zone to pair with the deep passing game. We struggled to run inside zone this season because neither Wisner or Blue are suited to run it. Blue and Gibson keep fumbling. Baxter and Clark are coming off major injuries.

*run.  Sorry, not sorry.

Which is why I didn't think there was any chance we would go after Hudson.

It's the same mold as Cook. A player with character issues that hasn't proven anything at the college level.

Allegedly, Cook’s problems aren’t of the prima donna type. @Hank_Hill has the right idea. Until that’s fixed, if it gets fixed, Cook wouldn’t be a take for anyone.

Where is Ole Miss in the NIL hierarchy? I figured they'd be bottom half of the conference but apparently not.

They focus on the portal. They’re not going to outpace Texas or Ohio State, but they can go nuts here and there for guys and force the bigger players to make difficult decisions that are incongruent with their processes. This could be one, but a WR choosing Ole Miss versus Texas can also be viewed as a toss-up, without NIL being out of whack.

You didn't notice the dripping sarcasm?

There's always risk, but Brooks seems like more of an outlier there. I can definitely see them taking a back, but it's going to be a hard sell for a guy who is number 1 back quality. I bet they count on Gibson developing over the off-season and being the big back backup even if they take a big back in the portal.

Season 4 Office Tv GIF by The Office

Yeah, that was a weird take.  He's a true freshman who's never taken a snap, and coming off an Achilles injury.  Not sure why Funk Dr. gave him the label as our "primary back."

And we'll see how Clark recovers.  Jonathan Gray was never the same after his Achilles injury, though many think he didn't have a lot of mileage left after getting overworked in high school.

Don't listen to that guy at all, about anything, ever.

What he's doing is mixing up Clark and Baxter entirely in his head.

That and no longer running through 8 foot wide holes while being untouched for the first 5-10 yards.

The "Johnathan Gray was never the same" deal has been a thing for long time now. I thought he looked basically the same pre and post injury. He was just clearly very overrated from the jump.

To my eyes it looked like he lost some quickness.  Then again, he came back to a Charlie Strong coached team that had a shitty offense with shitty QB play.  Not sure Reggie Bush would have looked good on that team

Pre injury he never lived up to his hype.  He never had the elite speed or quickness that was billed, but he could still contribute.  Post injury he wasn't even a P5 caliber player.

Had hoped Wazzou would pony up for the comedy, oh well, doesn't seem like Oklahoma cares that the team fell off a cliff the 2nd half of the year

Nakos has been adamant that Mateer isn’t motivated by money. Kind of left the door open for Wazzou or another team to enter the picture, but he’s probably going to OU.

And yet if aggy was desperate to land me, I’d throw out the most ridiculous demands and see if they bite

It's not about absurd demands, the made up part is the dumb fucks just picked shit becuase they believe NIL contracts would look like a coaching contract. Newsflash, they do not. Explain how a marketing agreement or product sponsorship covers "medical injury time off" or "hotel arragements." Sure, I could make an arugment that a hotel chain in all of the cities Tech travels too might want a sponsorship deal with an opposing player...but yeah, it's stupid. As is the concept of "Micah Hudson's injury time off, brought to you by McDonald's." It's dumb. At best, the agent would run some #s and the money for that kind of thing would be included in a lump sum of money from a collective. But the contract wouldn't look like that, at all.

Which is why it's entirely made up bullshit by some moron on the Internet who's Funk Dr. Spock level stupid
