Whoa.

I mean... I'm unsurprised at OU losing skill players and having to plumb the depths of FCS for replacements.

But that's a great defensive coach with an NFL-ready defense.

The only thing I can think is that either this guy isn't any good after all, OR... the wheels really ARE falling off the Schooner.

Pretty sure the recruiting services all had this dude ranked higher than Colin Simmons. Didn’t do shit as a freshman and now he’s on the move.

I remember Burton calling this guy a bust and catching hell for it.

Has someone checked the numbers?  Three signings a day is a pretty ridiculous pace and I'm afraid we will run out of scholarships sooner rather than later.

What a haul.  Great job rich alumnis and the collective and sark.

In the OU message board, someone posted that his NIL was $800k, and that was halved for next year, and that didn’t go over well. Have no idea how good the info is, but it sounds plausible.

So, what’s left to be done?  Find this year’s Silas Bolden for help in the return game/veteran receiver depth/rip out Oklahoma’s soul with a hustle play?

We've got roster space. It's best player available time if someone compelling comes up.

Lavon Johnson provides depth but I think we are still looking for a high level DL that can be first string.

I agree, and it would be nice if a BPA type also had collegiate experience returning kicks since Bolden handled pretty much all our punt returns and Golden the kickoffs. I thought Moore had some, but couldn’t find any stats for him (and as one of the starters, one with a bit of an injury history, he may not be your first choice in the role).

Didn’t we pick up that Westlake kid who was kicking 60-yarders?

Prolly couldn't get angle up enough. It's one thing to kick it over 5'10" HS guys with 19" vertical, quite another when the D is 6'4" and 32" vertical.

Concentrating on trying to get it up decreases your success rate - I think I heard that somewhere.

Yeah I think they’re still looking DL. Maryland kid is a good depth piece and they ended it. But a possibly starter would really help. Team has been nails at DT the last 2 years.

and yes I think we need an experienced returner as well. Unless one of the young kids can do it…but it’s dangerous to do that.

Welcome to the board, Haulcy Family, I mean Jiggious. Unfortunately, we only have influence with the TE room. (Two year starter, All Big 12 are good credentials, not sure what our S need is, perhaps some of the more roster-centric posters will weigh in.)

he's on the top of my mind because he's kicking ass on the baseball team, but isn't Jonah Williams a potential kick returner?

I have no idea.  Maybe?  One of the other more plugged in guys would have to say.

I remember Malcom Epps playing in our spring game, then giving everyone big hugs as he/they knew he was leaving. I think we’ve had a few others play in the spring game as well (but not sure if in the last couple years).
